We had Tritons for years, 3 different models and as a 4x4 they are very under rated I believe. We now have a LC79 series but the reason for that is to tow tractors to vintage machinery shows, it feels like an old truck to drive but it is as tough as nails for what we like to do with it. We did the 4200kg Pre rego GVM upgrade and it is a bit rough empty but boy does it tow well loaded up.

I found your channel originally as I was in the market for the MR, which I ended up getting and have enjoyed very much. It's also taken us around aus and done so economically and reliably. My brother and another friend have the new v6 ranger and if money was no object, I'd have probably got one also. The price difference was too much and at the time, the wait times were off the hook too. So we got the MR. I will say,. the engine of the ranger is amazing. So powerful and smooth. The MR has awful turbo lag, but even then I've learned to live with it. Congratulations on your new ute. I am kinda sad we aren't MR brothers any more but I understand your move :) All the best

Good to see your liking the Ranger, interested to see what your not happy about during the review, I agree on the Landcruiser, for the entry price you can setup an entire vehicle with everything you need, and the no ANCAP rating is because Toyota changed the classification of the vehicle from Light duty to Medium duty so they could get past the requirements as this segment doesn't require the same levels of safety as passenger vehicles, plus you get all the inherent probles that are there from 40 years ago, such as different track width between the front / rear wheels, you still need to spend a bomb to kit it out and put decent suspension on them, they are overpriced like most Toyota's
@AdventuringPals
@AdventuringPals 2 ай бұрын
@@-PORK-CHOP- thanks mate. Yeah there is a lot to talk about out why the Toyota wasn’t suitable but this was not the video to go into those details, but you’re spot on about them. There is nothing majorly wrong with our Ranger, nothing that would stop me buying another one.

@@AdventuringPals I will wait to see what you have to say, as I am a current Ranger owner and would like to upgrade, I am after the V6 but they don't offer it in extra cab which is what I am after, so waiting to see what comes out, as they now offer the 4cyl with AWD option on some trim levels, but I don't want the 4Cyl after having the 5Cyl I won't go to a 4Cyl, Your's has a lot to live up to as the Triton is known as a very reliable vehicle, albeit it's a bit cheap inside and basic, but gets good reviews from owners.

@@-PORK-CHOP- ah cool. I think most of my concerns are from what I’m seeing happening to other on owners groups with engine issues. It’s a hard one as it’s probably only a minority. And I think I expected a few features to be included (parking sensors for one) that weren’t because I got a cab chassis but all very minor stuff that I should have done better research on. I just took the only car they had available at the dealer at the time so didn’t have much option anyway.
@-PORK-CHOP-
@-PORK-CHOP- 2 ай бұрын
@@AdventuringPals Hey Mate, I don't get why they don't offer parking sensors on Cab models, because if you go somewhere like MRT for a canopy they will relocate everything for you, if they were fitted to the tub model, such as parking sensors, BLIS sensors, Xtraffic sensors, camera, I think they should send the ute with the sensors in a box, and it's up to you to get them attached via your canopy / tray supplier, and the installer just flicks a switch in the service mode to activate them, Especially if Ford sell it as a Cab model, I would assume Ford is sourcing the trays locally, so it's not hard to have these simple mounting positions on the tray ready to go !, I hate it when manufacturers make decisions like that, I love my parking sensors, don't care about a camera but the sensors are indispensable, how do you go with a rear vision mirror, did you fit an electronic rear mirror inside so you can see behind the canopy at all times while driving or reversing ? < I have been sussing out the Wolfbox versions.
