Mikey’s priority of time over quality when it came to Metagross was really what led to John winning. Ground/Steel/Psychic coverage could’ve all been done by Metagross.

Even in the hands of an NPC who can't manage King's Shield well, an Aegislash is still an Aegislash. Blade Form's base 140 attacking stats shouldn't be approached so frivolously.

It was really cool seeing John flex his competitive knowledge in this video, he deserved the win, but I feel kinda bad for Mikey, he fumbled loads today and if he would've kept his cool things could've been different, but it was a fun video. Though it's brutal, I hope the next first to beat the champion is against Cynthia.

Yeah, as Mikey said earlier in the video himself. He isn't really the competitive player, and the competitive pokemon mind works different from one who doesn't play it for the competitive side. And I like how John mentions he isn't good at team building, he just uses whatever he likes, which I can relate to as that is kinda how I played competitive myself xd

Even tho John had the advantage starting the tournament ahead and playing on switch mode, I believe that Mike made too many mistakes that would cost him the battle against Leon, plus he got two non dinamax opponents that saved him a lot of time, while John had a mostly clean tournament. So if both where playing on the same settings I think that Mike would get to Leon first but lose, giving the chance to John that would just clean up after him. P.S.: I LOVE this kind of video.

Real talk, it looks like Mikey got so caught up on the whole "haha leon cant use aegislash right" thing that he ended up severely underestimating Aegislash itself. That thing is a menace on the battlefield.

@@gengarzilla1685 Mikey is simply not the best battler espically under pressure. He even admits it which is why he stays away from competative and nuzlockes. He was freaking out about Piers that battle could have been over way sooner but he was too focused on super effective moves and setting up when it wasn't needed. John also used to do competative so he naturally knows what to do when given a team sheet of an opponent
