I feel the same way about Connecticut. Most of the videos people post in the Nutmeg State are short, slow shortline railroads. The biggest railroad company that comes through Connecticut is CSX but I’ve only seen GP40’s near New Haven.

Nice collection with variety of locations. That C SCMRBC was likely the last one of that symbol to cross Montana on the MRL as BNSF was set to retake operations on Jan. 1.

Ferry nerd here! I'd like to address some minor inaccuracies at about 14:00 ; Though it was the first ferry to be built especially for the Washington State Ferries system (established June 1 1951), the M/V Evergreen State was *not* the longest-serving vessel in the fleet, even compared to the M/V Tillikim (1959) of the same class. That honor goes instead to the Steel-Electric Class ferries, who started life in San Francisco under ownership of the Northwestern Pacific Railroad in 1927. Four of the six original vessels, M/Vs Illahee (Lake Tahoe), Klickitat (Stockton), Quinault (Redwood Empire), and Nisqually (Mendocino), though rebuilt in the 1980s, served all the way up until 2007-a grand total of 80 years in service! Also, though the Evergreen State was _officially_ retired by the state in the summer of 2014, she was actually brought _back_ into service only a few months later to serve as additional relief while the system lost one of the largest vessels (that being the M/V Tacoma).

Thank you! I try to do a mix of narrated and non-narrated videos. This was something a little different. Even a lot of my narrated videos, it's only a narrated introduction and the rest of the video isn't narrated. I do always try to not narrate over the train horns because I like hearing them too. Super nice vid sir, thanks. I love all that info, didn't know they were running those Oregon Talgos up there now, nor the work being done on the no horn zone and neat catch with that ex WSDOT ferry. We were up there in September - got to see the pair of GP39-2s parked out in front of the old GN station and caught one of the non-talgo Amtrak Cascades southbound on the big trestle over the Little Squalicum estuary. I'm curious how BNSF will handle the main line through the newly developing ex-mill site with all those new condos, etc going in there.
