I just found out that I am pregnant, I’m 32 years old with irregular cycle. Sometimes it comes after 2 mos, sometimes I bleed twice within a month. My period did not came last month we thought it’s just delayed like previous cycles but I’m having cramps and tender br**sts, it feels like they are growing. I couldn't watch all them yet. >Maybe we should prepare a short video/ presentation briefly about 1st trimester screening tests. (Double screen test etc.) It assesses the possibility of trisomy 21 (Down's syndrome), trisomy 18 (Edward's syndrome) in the fetus. Unfortunately, not every hospital has every opportunity. Pregnancy is a process that needs to be examined in detail. It is impossible to talk about every detail here. At least the candidates who will be mothers for the first time; When they go to the hospital, they feel more comfortable and safe if they know more or less what awaits them there. Let's talk about it later :)) 😊

But I know that in Canada we do the double screening test, but in Belgium, everyone gets the NIPT test. So I don't really know on which tests I should focus since I think this differs in different countries.

Hi when do you need to go to the obgyn after you test out positive? Do you need to have the check up right away or wait for 1-2 weeks?

It depends on where you're from I guess. In Belgium, we only go after 8 weeks of pregnancy for our first ultrasound (so 4 weeks after you've found out you're pregnant). We go to a family physician as soon as we found out we're pregnant to double check it with a blood test ('HCG-testing' in blood)

Hello Dr. My LMP is 8th of March. Alhumdulillah got BFP when checked with a home pregnancy kit after 2Days of missed period. Will a scan detect early pregnancy and what is the sonography called.

Depending on where you live, you'll have to wait until +- 8 weeks to get your first ultrasound. Now it's way too early, you won't see anything on an ultrasound.

I just found out I am 5weeks and 6days pregnant 3days ago but when I did a urine test one line was clear and the other was faint So, I went to do a blood test And the result came out positive and also said it was “REACTIVE “ I don’t get the meaning..but I will be going for another test a game…I just pray God see me through this journey and this is my first baby
