Cool spot man 😍 i got myself the 4400 because I thought I would need the extra space for winter camping, turns out it’s way too big, the 2400 would have been enough. HMG doesn’t count the front pocket, and that thing is huge 🤘🏔🤘

Not that anyone needs this per say but fyi the zpacks water bottle holder works nice on this pack, i got it and use it. I cant reach the water bottle side pockets on this pack unless i take the pack off. I also got a water bladder for this purpose, there is infact a water bladder sleeve in the pack, and a H20 port

I have thought about snagging that water bottle holder. It definitely looks convenient.

I just bought a HMG Junction 3400 with my base at 11lbs and another 12-14lbs food ( 2lbs a day, I love long trips), that pack is perhaps the most comfortable pack I've ever owned, I'm a big Gregory fan btw but this pack is gold and more. Peace and good tidings from the Conejo.

It is super comfortable indeed! Hoping to take it on another trip this weekend.

@@BigfootBeerandGear Again, have to agree with you, trying myself to go on another trip, was thinking Desolation Wilderness, but the Calder fire is too bad there, great fishing though if you're interested. Btw, I really liked the tarp idea and just added it to my pack for next time.
@BigfootBeerandGear3 жыл бұрын
@@jerryd.4767 nice. Luckily burn ban is up in my area at the end of the month and plenty of rain has rolled through the last week. Chilly in the evenings and mornings so fire should feel nice. The tarp was indeed helpful!

I am going to buy either the Southwest 3400 or 4400. Did you find the 3400 big enough ? I carry a lot of camera gear so I might need the 4400 but I dont know.

I just got back from a trip where I show my load out for a 2 night trip. After watching that it may help you make your decision. I’ll have it up in the next couple days.

3400 is masssssive. But it rolls down to nice and compact for when you dont need all the extra gear

New sub here to support a fellow KZbin vlogger and hiker out there. Question for you. I am considering this pack, but just realized there are no load lifter straps on the pack, right? No issue with that? ~RVA~
@BigfootBeerandGear3 жыл бұрын
I have not had any issues with that. I was luckily able to go check out this pack in person at Mountain Shop in Portland. I didn’t load it with weight, but I’m sure they would have been more than happy to accommodate if there’s a location near you where they have them in stock.
@RVAHikerGirl3 жыл бұрын
@@BigfootBeerandGear I'm out the east coast by the Appalachian Trail. I don't know of any place that carries these packs near me. REI doesn't carry them in store in my area, so it would have to be a blind purchase.
@BigfootBeerandGear3 жыл бұрын
If you go onto HMG’s website, there’s a store locator at the bottom of the main page. It looks like there’s a few locations that carry their stuff over there. Just depends on how close you are to them. Good luck!

Lost Creek Catch & Release landing net from Sportsman’s Warehouse. If you look at my latest video - my first catch actually falls out the larger holes at the bottom of it. I’m going to buy one with smaller holes next time.
