He obviously completely ignored the biggest 'warning flag' of the whole issue, which determined me immediately never to have the vaccine. This was that the vax manufacturers were to be guaranteed immunity from legal action in the event of adverse vaccine events. This was published on the Govt's own web site in Mar/April 2020, and ACTUALLY SAID that in view of the abnormally short time scale demanded by the Govt. for the development and production of the vaccine 'IT WOULD NOT BE FAIR' to expect them to bear responsibility in the case of adverse outcomes. It actually beggars belief that the Govt. should say such a thing, but of course it emerged later that, in fact, the manufacturers actually refused to produce it without that guarantee. So much for the contention that ten months was adequate time to produce a fully tested, totally safe product. Non medical people knew that this was not feasible, yet it was pushed by the medical establishment - who are still parroting the 'safe and effective' mantra.

We're lucky we don't really need the vaccine here in Australia. We can basically wait until we open up international borders beyond that of a couple of "bubbles" to New Zealand, Singapore, and so on. If Allan Joyce is on the money, that won't be until the end of 2022 or early 2023.

@@Your.Uncle.AngMoh don't make me hate my fellow countryman that are too stupid to do a simple distancing trick. The worst is: in my country they want to start to vaccinate the high risk groups (like me). We high risk groups are taking care of ourselves, thank you very much. Start vaccinating those that spread that virus. Don't get me wrong, if hey offer me the vaccine, I will take it immediately, but I know of a family that is willingly ignoring all rules, and don't care of spreading it, I'd rather they have it first, so the R will drop down to 0.5 or much lower... We still need to do face, hands, space and ventilate. But with that layer of fat cheese in the group that spread it it would drop so fast. And then we would be out of the woods in a few months instead of more than a year (or whatever it takes to vaccinate everyone). But vaccinating in order to stop the spread should have the highest priority, not vaccinating to protect the high risk, because it would keep the high risk group vulnerable for a much longer time.

This is written from an expert in the field There is absolutely no need for vaccines to extinguish the pandemic. I’ve never heard such nonsense talked about vaccines. You do not vaccinate people who aren’t at risk from a disease. You also don’t set about planning to vaccinate millions of fit and healthy people with a vaccine that hasn’t been extensively tested on human subjects. This much I know after 30 years in the pharmaceutical industry. Yet there are such moves afoot. Full article here please read before it’s too late lockdownsceptics.org/what-sage-got-wrong/

@@TheAbozer - I am probably not the right person to ask, and I wish I understood myself what the Swedish government has been doing. Whatever it is - it shows to be very, very ineffective. When it comes to the herd immunity, I hope they have realized that the death tolls would be enormous before there would be herd immunity - and Sweden has had enormous losses as it is. If the idea was herd immunity to begin with, I never hear about that still. We haven't even had recommendations with regards to masks in public places before now - government said it would give a false sense of safety, and they didnn't think we would be able to handle a safe use. All I can say is that we see a lot of stupid decision making here in Sweden, and I really wish it would handle the situation as they did i Norway (which is my native country). Per capita, Sweden has now 20 times more deaths by covid-19 than Norway. Swedish health authorities does not even follow WHO guidelines when it comes to masks. In my view, it is crazy. So - I am most assuredly wrong person to explain what the Swedish authorities has done and why. To me, its incomprehensible.

Nurses may be the best people to give vaccines but I don't think there are enough nurses to get the vaccine out quick enough if we rely just on them. Hence the NHS recruiting people specifically to give the vaccine who don't need medical qualifications. It’s easy to give approval. Just imagine there is a flaw which the UK authorities did not find and the EU finds it after millions of doses have been given in the UK. Boom.
