There's a famous case in the UK of a real estate agent who went missing and has never been found. She went to meet a guy at a house for a showing and never returned, he gave a fake name and the case is unresolved. Be careful! Over here, we can't even carry pepper spray which is ridiculous! Make sure someone knows where you are going and who with - take detailed info of the person you are meeting. Also, even though it shouldn't be this way of course, I would think carefully about what you wear to the showing if you are meeting a man, you never know! Sounds dramatic but essentially you are meeting strangers in random empty houses, be careful!

Definitely, I was thinking that too, with her wearing such a revealing open back mini-dress. If she's worried about safety visiting a house alone with a strange man, dressing more modestly is the first common sense way she can start by protecting herself. Not to blame or shame women for what they wear, but most men who would prey on a woman will make excuses like "she was asking for it" if she wears something that gives off the wrong vibe by being too sexy. If she were instead dressing more professional and modest, it shows that her only intentions are to be taken seriously and sell a home. When dressing in revealing clothes, it can give the impression that she wants to attract male attention to her body, as opposed to just selling a home.

Shelby, I love your vlogs… you have an approachable, authentic style that makes you a pleasure to watch - even when you’re cleaning your apartment. I was a Realtor for almost 14 years in Seattle. Re: fees, yes they add up but you have to realize there is NO LIMIT to how much you can make in this business. My biggest shock transferring to real estate after a salaried corporate job was needing to make QUARTERLY ESTIMATED TAX PAYMENTS so you don’t get a huge tax bill at filing time. For years, I was paying off last year’s taxes and the current year’s too! My best advice, build a database of prospects and former customers and keep in touch. Regularly. Good luck!

My siblings worked on real state and that's kind of part of what turned me off from working in that field. Think it's more so for houses than apartments where I'd see that being a problem, but definitely something you need to have in mind. The fees did take me aback but I’m licensed in Georgia and New York. I decided to specialize in being a referral agent so I don’t have to pay the monthly fees. Especially since I plan on doing another job part time. Thankfully I’m in a position where I don’t have to work full time. I became a referral agent because of the safety concerns my family have with me living in New York.

fyi- future fillings avoid all amalgam fillings and ask for composite fillings. amalgam fillings are toxic and can leach heavy metals into your system. It can contribute to a variety of inflammatory situations in the body... consideration with your history of sinus issues would be an easy step to take to rule out any impact. Have all amalgam fillings removed and replaced with composite. Your second molar has a sizable filling and if deep just have it sealed for sensitivity and I don't recommend root canals either as they can effect your system systemically. This is IMHO not medical advice do your own research on your present dental health. Love how straight your teeth are since the surgery and braces. 😁
