FIRST WEEK IN OXFORD | international student vlog

How is it like adjusting to life in the UK as an international student? Extremely belated video… watch to uncover the highlights of my first week, ft. aesthetic views, cooking, room deco, and more! Just exploring and having a bit of fun before term starts!

WHO AM I?
I am a first-year medical student at Oxford University, coming all the way from Singapore (international student)! I will be using this channel to document my journey (with vlogs like this) and share simple tips and advice for aspiring medics and aspiring Oxbridge students :)
disclaimer: i'm a very different person now (even the way i look, speak and act), please don't judge me by my old videos :P i may slowly remove/archive some of them to make way for new perspectives. not doing much youtube now due to other priorities!

Is tuition absurd? I'd like to study at Oxford, I'm in grade 8. I've been stressing over grades, though I know I shouldn't. after all, it's a long way off. Any advice?

Yes, the tuition fees are really expensive for international students, unfortunately, but much more reasonable for UK (Home) students. There are scholarships / bursaries available for some courses though. I think the main advice for now would be to focus on doing well academically, and when the time comes, to find out more about application tests and other requirements for the subject that you are applying for. Reading around the subject is also a great way to show interest and prepare for interviews, although I only have experience applying for Medicine :")

knackered to see any kinds of flaunt display of videos - a hint obliquely to show how successful i am under a so called principle of success and covered up issues such like inequality resources in education and problematic elitism ( especially typical asian mindset to think of what is good or downgrade for institute that based on name and fame.) tut tut.
