I feel the same way!! I just graduated with my undergrad in May and I just started classes for my MBA. I’m taking 4 classes and no joke I have 20-30 assignments due every week and I’m a stay at home mom. It’s very overwhelming but like you said I’m just taking it one day at a time! Thanks for sharing how your first week went!!!

Five classes in grad school is a lot don’t feel bad or guilty if you decide to only take 3 or 4! I’m in grad school too and that’s what I’m doing and it’s way more manageable. You got this! 💜

Thank you!🤍 yeah the reason I’m taking this many is to meet my goal of finishing in a year so we’ll see how it goes 😅

I love your transparency I would love to get personal with your experience especially diversity. I attended an HBCU but I want to try and open my heart up to other schools which is why I chose these two schools as well with my field
@AmandaMonroe3 жыл бұрын
Yeah so growing up the schools i attended were always really diverse or majority poc so all my friends upbringing were similar to mine and when i went to college it was the first time where being a poc, i was in the minority (in groups i ran in since u of a specifically is majority white and Hispanic) and i will say it has been such an eye opening experience! Ever since I’ve been such an advocate for going outside your comfort zone and emerging yourself in a community that you’re unfamiliar with because you can learn so much! I’ve learned so much more about myself and it’s pushed me to care even more about so many social issues just seeing that disparity that I’ve never before experienced

As you probably can see from all the other comments you are absolutely not alone in the way that you’re feeling. I recently started vet school at UofA and I totally felt that overwhelming anxiety feeling. I felt the imposter syndrome hard and started doubting myself like I got in to the program by accident. Thank you for showing your raw emotions and showing that it can be tough to feel all these feelings. I really appreciate that. I keep telling myself to take it one day at a time and before I know it the semester will be over and I will be confused why I doubted myself because it’s gonna be great. Sending good vibes to you. Good luck in your program. These experiences will help us grow. ❤️

I just graduated with my undergrad and won’t be attending grad school till next year, and every new semester seemed overwhelming for me too. The best thing is definitely to take it day by day and just remember you are trying your best. I don’t you should be worried about imposter syndrome, everyone reaches goals at different points in their life and you’ll get to where you need to be with time. Good luck 🍀 also, your nail designs are cute✨

I finished my grad school program for education in November and I had breakdowns a lot more than I did in undergrad. My program was a year round program with each class being 5 weeks so I only took 1-2 classes at a time and even that was beyond stressful so cudos to you for taking 5 classes! I was also even more stressed/over whelmed because I was the only person fresh out of undergrad while everyone else in my classes were already teachers. You’ll get through it!

Thank you for sharing raw emotions. My application& financial aid took a long time to process. They told me I would most likely be starting for spring semester. So I was not prepared at all, when I got the call that everything processed and I could start fall semester. I got my class schedule made the same day college started. I'm a transfer student from community colleges. I haven't been to a university setting, I didn't explore the campus, and I haven't been to college in 4yrs. I'm taking Pathology& Genetics and I took my biology, microbiology, and human anatomy classes years ago! I feel like I'm reading a different language when I read the text. I also have a son, a family at home. I still got to pick him up and do the home things. I got so overwhelmed too. I almost thought about "dropping out" cause idk how it's gonna work....but I guess we take it one day at a time. & Let it out!! I'm going to school at NAU but I wanted to go to school at UofA. That's how I found your channel. Watching your videos inspires me and gives me someone to relate too. Like we are all in this together. So thank you for sharing I feel even less alone!

I felt the exact same this week at UofA. I literally had a moment where I broke down crying and I wasn’t even sure why. It was so much more than I was anticipating but at the end of the day you just have to remember take things one day at a time and try not to get overwhelmed. Glad you openly shared this real and honest video because I’m sure many people feel the same way. 🥰🙏🏼🤍
