First Week of College ✏️📘 (Vlog.22)

a recap of my first week of college! i'm....tired......but happy!
the thought of all i have to do is a little daunting at times. it's just so much. all i ever want to do is write music or make videos, but instead i have to read outdated, heteronormative books about social interactions. it just feels like i'm wasting so much time, and i very much do not enjoy it.
with that being said, i don't think any college student breaching their third week of classes is extremely pleased by their workload. so, i guess this is normal. i'm stickin' it out for this quarter, bois!! imma do this!! just gonna b a bit tired....lol.
i am slowly finding my place in this city. i miss texas a lot, and i'm so excited because i'm visiting for the weekend; leaving thursday. can't wait to be home for a sec, reground myself. i have managedd to find my own little world in the city though. i have my favorite coffee shop, favorite places to eat, read, rest, think. favorite songs to blast in order to drown out the sounds of the construction. it's a slow process, but i'm getting it. when i come to my apartment at the end of the day, it's feeling more and more like home. i feel good.

I suffered from depression my entire life and when I first started watching Conan around a year ago it completely changed the way I see people, everything was different. well you said you'd read all the comments, I doubt you'll stumble across this because there's nearly like two thousand down here but if you do, here you go. I'm glad you are doing okay, and I want you to know its really nice and refreshing to watch a person who has cool pals and is living what they worked hard at. I am a depressed friendless mess who feels like the life that was once bubbling in them has been sucked out and has been cast into a deep dark endless pit where it just keeps sinking into a void. I try and do things I wanna but I just, I can't. and my parents are fighting in court over some serious scary accusations and I don't want any of it to be true, also all of my friends live over the other side of the planet and I'm really emotionally feeling distanced and detached from them. I'm almost 15 now but I feel and am treated so much older and I hate it, I want to be a kid, a lil kiddo, a wee lil kidlet but whatever. on the up swing of things HALLOWEEN AND CHRISTMAS ARE COMING, and my one year niece makes me smile so much and so does her mum, my sister (I actually have 8 siblings but she gets me the most, she's 20 nearly 21) who I love with all my heart. She actually just got a lil pug named Lilo and she's utterly adorable, Also my sister and her partner have their second child on the way and its so exciting. if you read this sorry for over sharing and ranting, but thanks for the content you make. It just makes me feel nice.

Wow reading this felt like re-living a moment in my life. I know saying "it will get better" doesn't help but I hope everything really does. My parents fought in court too, I distanced myself from everything and I was so alone, I had no real friends, nothing, but I'm really happy to see that you have pets and people who make you happy and I hope they continue to do that. hey manny man man, i am 16 and felt like this when i was 11, and again when i was 14, and again last semester. sometimes i feel this way every time i open a physics textbook. but it's going to be okay. and big c said that there was a lot of power in words. you have so much love from me and from everyone else who's going through the same thing and i know i know i know that it feels so shite right now but it gets. better. believe me loveling it does. there were so many days when i wish i was dead. but if i hadn't lived through those days i wouldn't have had the strength to look at the birds in the branches, the wind in the grass, and the sobering glow of my own reflection. sometimes i think that living through all these things is just important, if for no other reasons, then because someday i'll be able to help someone else get through it. because we all have a trillion thirty-five trials. we can't help it sometimes they just hit us because they have to. but we come out of them stronger and god it feels so good to look in the mirror now and be able to tell myself that "i lived." that's so fucking crucial. i can make cookies for the pals and feed the fish. i wouldn't be able to do that if i hadn't made it. so all the best to you. x

Take it from me! I have high school and college at the same time. If you schedule yourself out and try to keep ahead at least a week if really gives you peace of mind if you get sick or something. I am finishing this semester of college, then dropping out. It is a genuinely scary thing, to feel like a "failure" but that's just society's view! It's taken a lil bit of steeling myself, but I have found our generation is a lot more supportive of others dropping out than I expected. I am so excited for you and I love vlogs like this! College takes a lot of energy but you can do it and manage other things in your life like youtube if you don't spend too long on one thing. If you're taking 4 or more classes maybe drop one, taking a lot of classes your first year can be really tough but you got this!
