Great start for the Kelly dog. With experience she will make a fine duck dog. The Lazarus bird made me laugh. We have had that happen a couple of times over the years with pheasants. On the phone with the wife coming home after hunting: "I gotta go. The dogs are fighting with a rooster in the back of the Equinox." true story. that was wild...and messy. The other was years ago road hunting near home and a presumably dead rooster jumped out of the back of the truck at a stop and started running down the road. my lab at the time jumped out the passenger side window and ran it down. 2 retrieves on the same bird.

She did good for first time out . Not easy when the water is a little deep . I was lucky my dog was big and didn’t have to swim much . She is going to be a nice retriever you watch !

I’m new to duck hunting I bought a shot gun and some gear all need is my license I’m guessing but I’m so lost on that process I found the hunter-Ed course but after that what do I do. Hopefully you see this soon love the vids

You’ll need to complete hunters safety, than get hunting license with federal duck stamp, hip, state waterfowl stamp.
