Awesome comeback win from St Peters!! Single handedly dismantled by Nico Jones! Great game by both teams. Insane similarities of Nico and the Iceman. Dominant, hard running, unreal offloads, and fullstop defence. Michael Jones would be proud of his son and teams effort. Well deserved #1 1st XV Rugby Team in the country!!

Daniel Joseph I would not say single handedly, there are 14 other boys on that field that made that team win

Don’t feel bad - there is no quota system in SA School rugby - so coaches are allowed to pick first teams on merit. Only provincial teams and national teams from age 12 to 18 and senior levels have a quota system. Our top 10 rugby schools will beat the under 18 and most probably the under 20 junior springboks by 50 points or more as well. Our number 14 and number 10 ranked schools also beat some top New Zealand Schools with big scores. Unlike your junior all blacks and senior all blacks and all your super rugby teams - your schoolboy rugby teams actually get to play against quota free teams - so it is like playing against the springboks of the old days when springboks ruled world rugby. Boland Landbou 30 (SA) Napier Boys’ 25 (NZ) Grey College 73 (SA) Christchurch Boys 26 (NZ) Paul Roos 93 (SA) Southland Boys 5 (NZ) Monument 48 (SA) John McGlashan College 10 (NZ) Grey College (SA) 54 Southland Boys High (NZ) 0 Paul Roos (SA) 62 Napier Boys High (NZ) 7 Paul Roos (SA) 52 St Peter’s College (NZ) 5

Cheapest Website It’s a bit different when the team who won the championship for the certain schools has all its players leave becuase the tournament is at the start of the next year so the boys who won it for their school have already left. I was told it’s just the end of the SA boys season, unlike NZ who has to go to Sanix 7 months later and with a completely new and un-gelled team.

@efalomo yes RSA teams don't take into account that those international games are pretty much a school holiday and first game of the year sso 0 experience.

Most of the players in this St. Peter’s team didn’t go to South Africa tour in 2019 because it was their last year of school. They would of destroyed Paul Roos tho

GINGERcat D NZ schools seasons are during the middle of the years from June to Sep. which means they would of had to bring a whole new young team to play your SA schools , just like what Saint Peters did in Sanix, their seniors carried them to the win in the final and then at the beginning of next year when Sanix came they had a new young team that was not anywhere near as good as last years team, what happened to Paul Roos, what did they have to win in SA the previous year to make Sanix and then during this years season they became the 14th ranked first XV. I’m not denying talent on SA side but chemistry does play a lot into it.
@deand5034 жыл бұрын
Ofa Afungia Jr they did not win the previous year grey did as well as this year and the actual season of Sa school rugby between april to September then a whole different team comes along for the next season the thing is just Grey College has a overall win rate of 90% wich means they top 3 every year but all Im saying is that there is not much of a difference between the seasons st peter was one of Paul roos first games this year they only played in Sannix have not played any SA school at that time beating st peters

Any top 20 school in SA would put 30-50 points on New Zealand number 1 schools. Why? Simple = there is no quota systems in school rugby. Quota selections only applies to provincial tournaments and national teams. This means the coach can select the best team on merit. So that is why you see 2 white boys playing wing in our school teams. No springbok team or super rugby team will ever have 2 white wings or a full white backline. Incase any New Zealanders is worrying about the future - don’t worry - 90% of these school boys won’t ever get selected for provincial and national teams. So the all blacks will have nothing to worry about. 👍 your national under 18 and under 20 teams are safe. Your super rugby teams are safe and your senior all black teams are safe. Only once in a blue moon when you have an off day we might pull an upset win. But you won’t get dominated like in the old days where we could chose all our juniors & seniors on merit. Maybe all blacks should put sanctions in. And refuse to play the “fake springboks”. And demand that all quota systems at all age groups be banned and selections on merit only at all age groups. So we can have fair rugby competitions at all age groups and even in our own local provincial tournaments have the best kids competing at all age groups.
