Having at least one friend is definitely helpful. I find that the people in my program are friendly, and so it has been quite easy to meet new people. Also many people in my program want to go further and get their nursing degree, so overall having friends in the program has also motivated me to continue with school once I finish the LPN program.

I started Monday August 12th and you weren’t kidding semester one is HEAVY!! Only one week in and I planned out the semester and I literally have no room to breathe!!! Also YOU NEED A PLANNER!!! You can’t do nursing school WITHOUT it. Thanks for this video. Also therapeutic communication is very subjective and the language is very tricky!! ❤❤ good luck to everyone

I totally agree with you! I am doing a part time LPN program and the first semester my planner was packed with assignment due dates! It was overwhelming but I got use to it. I planned out the whole semester at the beginning of the semester and that has helped a lot.

Hi, im interested in applying to a compressed time nursing program (2 years) bc i have a degree already. But im worried about how much knowledge im expected to know coming into nursing school? Its required that I took physiology and anatomy, but its been years since i took these courses in the beginning of my undergraduate degree so im just worried that I need to remember everything from them in order to succeed at nursing school. Do you think that I have to review 100% of the content from those courses, going in? Or just be able to relate some concepts from them?

I would definitely recommend reviewing the content in those courses, but I don’t think you would need to review 100% of the content. Every program and teacher is different, but my teacher for Pathophysiology would give us anatomy and physiology review PowerPoints of the A&P info we needed to know/remember for the topic we were covering and it was super helpful. But going into the program, I would recommend reviewing your old notes and maybe watching A&P KZbin videos of general topics and systems. I hope this helps! Best of luck to you! 🫶🏼🫶🏼

Congrats on finishing your first semester! I also graduate in May but it feels like lightyears away. I just wanted to know how you find time to review previous chapters & skills, study for incoming tests, and make detailed quizlets while also studying for the NCLEX? I'm having a hard time managing it all with work and being a single parent. Any advice?
@Kalli44992 ай бұрын
For my program, we don’t really start studying for the NCLEX until around our final semester and then we get into heavy NCLEX content. But until then, I don’t stress too much about that and mainly focus on passing our exams. To manage doing everything (studying, clinicals, assignments, etc.) having a planner really helps me!! I like to plan out everything I need to get done each week and this helps me to manage my time better and pick certain days to get stuff done. If you need a planner recommendation, I’ve been using the Erin Condren Life Planner for 3 or 4 years now and love it!! But any planner would work. I hope this was helpful! Best of luck to you!! ❤️🫶🏼
