I wish I had the money to buy an Index and had the space for something like this, I would play this all day just to see how good I can get, honestly being apart of one of these Tournament things looks fun af even if you 'lose'. Love watching your vids on this game tbh I love seeing how you play.

If you have a pc that can run the game, the quest 2 is only 3-400 dollars
@Dreadloxinator Жыл бұрын
If you have a PC that can run H3, get a quest 2 and get virtual desktop, you can run it wirelessly (which hinders game performance by quite a bit) or buy a link cable.
@RaqRedOX Жыл бұрын
@@Dreadloxinator I personally will NOT buy anything that is linked directly to Facebook or "Meta" While there are good things about it, I would rather wait to spend the $500 - $800 for an actual VR that I personally will use a lot. Hell I'd still settle for a HTC Vive cause that's on the lower end of $500, An index would be something I get when I have extra money to be able to do that sort of upgrade. again though I will not buy anything relating to Facebook for personal reasons.

I waited a week to watch it live, even got a question in at the end. Been a big fan of yours for a couple years now. I can't afford a PC or a VR set yet but you're definitely convincing me to get one when I can. Keep up the good work and I hope to see some awesome reloads sooner or later! Catch you on Thursday.

Nice work, Jedi! I play a lot of H3VR and I've watched a lot of your videos in the past, and while watching this one, it's quite surprising to me just how much of your play style has been adopted into my own. I'm currently practicing a lot of Hardcore (1 hit) runs in Endless mode. (Classic Hallways.)

I've finally picked up an Index and have room-space to play this in. I've only just really played with a number of the settings on the ranges to get used to handling everything. I know you use a few mods like that wire management mod and BetterHands (I think), but how do you deal with gripping weapons? Do you use any of the default controls or a modded one? I'm currently using double-tap grips which results in me dropping things unintentionally for the most part, but it's not exactly quick for transitions, and I still manage to drop them accidentally when I'm trying to use the thumb-pads for administrative actions.
@jeditobiwan2 жыл бұрын
I am using the default controls, just grip to hold. Takes a bit to get used to with the index. Any reason you switched off to the double tap method?
@VulpeRenard2 жыл бұрын
@@jeditobiwan Switched off due to continually dropping weapons all the time with the default controls. Obviously the nature of the VR controllers is that it needs to differentiate between you holding something and just having the controllers in your hands, but I feel like the continual squeezing is an unnatural way to hold something. When I train normally, I'm not constantly squeezing what I'm holding in a death grip, so I'd much prefer a toggle. If BetterHands has the option to assign grip toggle to one of the face buttons for example, I'd rather get used to that. Right now one of them (not sure if it's A or B) just acts as a secondary snap-turn on each controller, but since I already use the right stick for that, I'd rather make it a toggle-grip. That way I'd always have to consciously toggle it rather than accidentally do it.
@TalonGamingNetwork2 жыл бұрын
Honestly, the best thing I can recommend if you're having trouble gripping is switching to "Force Vive Style" in settings, because it gives you a 1 second leeway to hold things easier
@TalonGamingNetwork2 жыл бұрын
@VulpeRenard I also forgot to mention that you also have the "Streamlined" control scheme, which changed the action of the buttons. But you'd have to get used to that instead of "Standard"
@VulpeRenard2 жыл бұрын
@@TalonGamingNetwork I think I do have "Force Vive Style" set, unless that's just the grab option "hold for 1 second". I don't like that setting either, that's got both the issues of not being fast enough for transitions (I can double click faster) and I had more accidental grabs/drops than with double click. If it's a separate thing, I remember turning it on. If it's just the 1-second hold, I tried it and reverted. Doesn't "streamlined" simplify a lot of the weapon manipulation and make the game less realistic? My ideal implementation for this game is to as closely match the way I train so I don't have to worry about too many different compromises. I guess I need to look at the general controller settings like the other user suggested and possibly some mods as well.

dude, there isnt anyone still doing commentary for ANY game that is good at commentary. Its such a hard job especially when you have another person commentating with you who you arent good friends with. it being a niche game doesnt really matter. @@selectionn ive seen plenty of casters that do excellent jobs commentating on events so idrk what youre on about. these guys stunk at it. not their fault, they just did. it being a niche game absolutely does matter, a hot mainstream game is gonna have a lot higher of a budget behind its tournaments and as such would be able to find more experienced commentators. a more popular game would also have a higher population of high-level players that are actually able to make some interesting commentary on what happening in-game. these dudes did neither
