It doesn't look like you were slowed down in any way with the children along, what a busy day! And it was so hot for the Stampede parade, I can understand the kids being done early. I've lived in Alberta for 30 years now and never attended the Stampede as I'm not a lover of crowds. Thanks Lily for letting me tag along with you all and enjoy your day with you!

I bet you and your kids would have LOVED getting to see the actual Rodeo, I hope you take them in the near Future. I wen't for the first ( and probably only time due to the fact I live in Florida , USA) last year and I loved it.

Did you go to the Indian Village? The sharing circle time is like a story time for kids. Did you find the Superdogs? Also a really good show for kids, only about 30 minutes, shows throughout the day.

The only problem with going on the discounted days is the wait for things is incredibly long. I worked at the dog bowl (which is a free show) and on Sunday which was family day we had to turn so many people away cause there just weren't any seats and it was frustrating for everyone

As a citizen of Calgary it is better than Edmonton for views and weather but it depends your age if you are older and have money and a car (or a family) Calgary all the way but Calgary’s transit system is shit Calgary as a city right now has more people than it can handle right now but city council is working on it with the new ring road and the green line so millennials will have a better time in Edmonton (right now in July 2018) as they can get places with public transit. But overall Calgary is beautiful and if you have a choice choose Calgary. (Take my opinion with a grain of salt as I am from Calgary and naturally Calgarians and people from Edmonton dislike each other)

Noodle Gamer137 Edmonton is really trash right now Calgary's doing a lot better besides having Nenshi as mayor
