I'm Hindu, and we have something similar. As part of Yajna (sacrifice), we can light sage or Paolo Santo etc, sweep it towards the Lingham offering it to God, and then eventually sweep it towards ourself, to consummate the offering and remember the bond we share with God.

I recently cut my hair for the first time in just over three years. I was holding on to alot of grief that had been eating at me. My mom sent me this to encourage me to smudge to help the healing and I gotta say, this was very helpful. Thank you 😊

Safe Blessing: May you be surrounded by a shield of protection, guarded by the watchful eyes of the universe. May your path be free from danger and misfortune, guided by intuition and clear-sightedness. May your journey be filled with unexpected delights, and moments of profound peace. May you return home every night to the warmth of loved ones, and wake each morning with renewed hope and courage. May your life be a tapestry woven with threads of safety, and may your heart always know the comfort of knowing you are loved and protected. So it is, and so it shall be.

I actually felt the Humble giving message in this upload, and will now follow these ways to smudge. Sadly my Shaman Dave Redman White Buffalo calf woman, passed away recently a loss felt deeply by our Spirit family. He was Part Navajo, and fully trained in America the old ways. He completely changed my family, and planted our feet fully upon a new path of Giving love and light, I still hold dear the 1st book he gave me to read, called The Four Agreements.🙏🏼 Gitche Manitou Bless his ascention and accept his Soul with the light and Love that he always gave other's. Love & Light Steve White horse. ❤☀️🐎

I am using this quarantine time to learn about our Anishinaabe culture that was taken from my family in the boarding schools. I wanted to share my excitement with you: after a few months of self-taught Ojibwemowin, I actually understood most of what you said. It is because of videos like these that I am able to connect to this part of myself. I look forward to the day when I can safely visit with our band's Elders. Mi'iw, miigwech biizindewag.

Very calming and healing. I sometimes take a charcol outside and light it till its red and white on the outside so there is no smell. Then i put the herbs/ medicine on there a little at a time or alot to really cleanse and then open the windows and let it all the stuck energy go out with the smoke. Its also good for resins as its the only way to keep them burning. I use a clay vissle with an area for the burnt medicine to fall into. I keep the burned medicine and collect it so i can make black salt for protection. I however love the way you smudged your sacred parts of your body. I had forgotten about that. Its so good to share and be reminded. Thank you and may the gods bless you.❤❤❤

I smudge my house but lately when I go away & come back( I live in 2 different houses , half week at one & rest of week at the other) When I smudge when I get to my luggage and clothes from the other house it always goes out always at these points. It doesn't matter at what point I do them. towards beginning, middle or end...what is it telling me. Are those negative energies from thay other house. The vibes are DEFINITELY different over there

@@fanshaweiil I had the same question. I am a person of color and strive to be sensitive to cultural appropriation, so I would not feel comfortable smudging unless I was given permission, as it is only right and respectful to do so. I’m also a therapist and cannot smudge in my office, so I have resorted to white sage and palo santo spray as a means of cleansing and setting the environment for healing work to occur. I will try making sage tea and use that to spray as well. (Unfortunately I am allergic to cedar.) Thank you for this video ❤
