As great as this game is...let's be real. The graphics were terrible even for it's time. The shooting was lackluster. Also, the levels kinda looked like cardboard sets. In general, the gameplay lacked punch, which is a shame really considering how engaging rest of the things were in the game. I think the only way to enjoy the game was using stealth...

@@mrtoolegittoquit2 I've played the game man. But, really couldn't get into it because of the aforementioned problems. I'm a FPS fanatic. The late 90s and early 2000s is considered the golden era for the genre. Yes, I understand this game is more focused on giving player choices with it's integration of RPG elements. The same can be said about the original Mass Effect trilogy. I totally enjoyed the Mass Effect trilogy because of it's more than decent gunplay. In Deus Ex it's like I'm firing some toy guns or something. This is totally understandable because the development team was mainly comprised of the members from Looking Glass Studios who developed the Thief series...

It's definitely a "Greater than the sum of it's part" kinda game. The first time I tried it was shortly after playing the original Half-Life, and yeah the shooting in Deus Ex pales in comparison. But then I discovered stealth games, (the Thief series specifically) and got a real liking for that genre. So when the next time I gave Deus Ex a try (and actually played through the tutorial) I realized that you could play it stealthily, I was hooked!

@@hongquiao Yes, I agree with your opinion that it's a very enjoyable stealth game. But, it will start showing it's weakness the moment you play using other styles...

@@stanleysandeep Those other playstyles being? This wasn't designed as a handholding game. If you want to GEP gun everything you'll end up softlocking yourself. Too bad.
