this is INSANE. i loved every second. the art style is super appealing, and the animation is just so good. it was a genuine joy to see a super well made animation on this game. im shocked that super well made stuff like this is being made 23 years later! AMAZING job! my favorite part was when JC threw the EMP!

Great to finally see the battle between JC and Navarre in full. Navarre, in particular, was good in combat and even came close to defeating the nano-augmented JC until he surprised her with an EMP grenade. If only that tactic worked in the original game. Also, kudos for referencing the video game cover art near the end.

I like that Anna is shown to be a very capable combatant. Even though nanoaugs are more high tech than mechs, Anna is still one of MJ12's best operatives. She's still a lethal killing machine (quite literally) and should have more combat experience than JC. But as with people that play Deus Ex, JC can get crafty. I hope one day to see a JC vs Walton Simons fight. Let Simons live up to the powers the game said he was suppose to have but never used because of the game's engine limitations.

I can suggest you play Vanilla? MADDER! mod for Deus Ex 1 when phase 2 releases. That mod makes Simons a menace and ita actually well given how he is on the same level as player with his augs (except that he truly will have the newest firmware).

I'm so glad you're still doing these! Replaying the game right now!! Love the Terminator-like look that JC has as he's strangling Navarre, so focused and calculated, showing that machine side of his personality. But as she falls he gently guides her body down with his hands, respecting his enemy like a person. SO GOOD

maybe more than just a person? If you go the lethal route with JC while you're partnered with Anna, later on, a UNATCO trooper tells you that Anna likes your style, then chuckles and says that you two would make a cute couple. 🥰😍 So there is at least one guy rooting for them. o_O

This was really cool! The cover art homage was nice. The way JC ended it was brutal! Although it should be noted that, if your Ballistic Protection and Health Regeneration Augmentations are at a high enough rank, you can facetank both Anna and Gunther. And if your unarmed skill is high you can die in a fiery explosion in a few quick hits, but if you have the speed Augmentation you can dodge the explosion Both in gameplay and in lore NanoAugs are to Mechs what Matrix Agents are to Humans.

Frankly, you just made MJ12 in its entirety WAY more menacing with your killphrase solution than the entire OG game ever did. Ingame, it would've been how much, minutes? An hour tops before the fight? When JC learns Anna's killphrase. Depending on playstyle and level of experience with the game. But I can't imagine overall, learning the killphrase any sooner than 20 minutes before encountering Anna. And here it is, bullseye, MJ12 and UNATCO already one step ahead, killphrase working no more. It would've worked splendidly ingame, and make players much more suspicious of Daedalus' intel from that point forward.
