China Fights US Dollar: Exposes Chinese Banks to Losses | Vantage with Palki Sharma
China’s covert strategy to support the yuan using foreign-exchange swaps is putting its banks at risk of billions in losses while creating easy profits for savvy investors. State-run Chinese banks have built over $100 billion in short positions on the dollar to stabilise the currency without draining foreign reserves. However, this move has led to significant losses as the yuan weakened earlier this year. This strategy shields the People’s Bank of China from international scrutiny while state banks bear the risk. Learn more about China’s currency management tactics on "Vantage with Palki Sharma."

With the US imposing sanctions on Chinese manufactured goods and China forming alliance with other BRICS nations, where does that leave us to invest and do with our life savings which are all in the US Dollars? I am really scared for the future and I am almost at panic mode.

The problem with printing is that it has been proven time and time again that it doesn’t work. The more you print, the less value your currency holds, leading to higher inflation and making everything more expensive in your country. That's why despite printing so much money, People in the U.S. are homeless, starving in the streets everywhere, can't afford healthcare

Over the last four years and still ongoing, Indian news outlets have repeatedly stated that India is significantly ahead of China, always pushing the narrative 'India wins, China loses.' So what better way to prove this narrative than at the world's largest sporting event (2024 Olympics). It’s the perfect opportunity for India to showcase their country's progress and human development. All of China’s finest athletes will be there, as well as India’s best, competing alongside the world’s greatest at the highest level. The event will be broadcast globally, with eyes focus on India and China as they compete. So, did India easily win as they claimed they would? Of course not-India lost to China 0 - 40 and India lost to Hong Kong, China 0 - 2. Olympic success is often a reflection of a country's growth and human development. If a nation such as India lacks infrastructure, training facilities, proper nutrition, and access to basic needs like food and water, it will very well likely perform poorly in the Olympics. Looking at India's extremely poor performance in the 2024 Olympics, it is now crystal clear that India isn't growing or developing at all, and India's economy is not the 5th largest as they have boasted, but rather closer to their bottom-of-the-ladder Olympic ranking of 71

Amazing stupidity of Chinese Banks, you are buying swaps against dollar from American Banks , even if the American dollar collapses , American banks will never pay , and Chinese Banks will take the loss , this is called counterparty risk , only way you can bring down dollar is fighting a limited war with US, which the Chinese are unwilling to do because they dont have the balls like Russia

This teaching shows that the philosophy of monistic idealism provides a paradox-free interpretation of quantum physics that is logical, coherent, and satisfying. Moreover, mental phenomena such as self-consciousness, free will, creativity, even extrasensory perception find simple, satisfying explanations when the mind-body problem is reformulated in an overall context of monistic idealism and quantum theory. This reformulated picture of the brain-mind enables us to understand our whole self entirely in harmony with what the great spiritual traditions have maintained for millennia. The negative influence of material realism on the quality of modern human life has been staggering. Material realism poses a universe without any spiritual meaning: mechanical, empty, and lonely. For us-the inhabitants of the cosmos-this is perhaps the more unsettling because, to a frightening degree, conventional wisdom holds that material realism has prevailed over theologies that propose a spiritual component of reality in addition to the material one.The facts prove otherwise; science proves the potency of a monistic philosophy over dualism-over spirit separated from matter. This teaching presents a strong case, supported by existing data, that the monistic philosophy needed now in the world is not materialism but idealism.

What she explained is exactly the opposite. If the value of the dollar is expected to fall, Chaina isn't supposed to buy the Dollars against Chinese Yuan. In her explanation, currency swap happens for 100 Yuan -in return chaina receives 14 dollar. Dollar depreciation results in, let's say, 100 yuan becomes 20 USD. I.e., 1 usd equals 5 yuan. Now, to reclaim its 14 usd, the US will have to shell out just 70 Yuan, thus ending up with a profit of 30 Yuan, which is equivalent to 6 USD

China doesn't want a big appreciation of the yuan, so after the U.S. cut interest rates. China will buy dollars to stabilize the yuan's exchange rate differential against the dollar. A substantial appreciation of RMB is not conducive to China's commodity exports

lndians must always remember that the gap in wealth, economic power and military strength between China and India is even greater than the gap in Olympic gold medals. China: Gold: 40, Silver: 24, Bronze: 29 Hong Kong, China: Gold: 2, Silver: 0, Bronze: 2 India: Gold: 0, Silver: 0, Bronze: 5 Winning gold requires (hard work, dedication, determination, mental toughness, skill, talent, a strong support system, passion, love for the sport, physical strength and consistency). Countries like China possess all these qualities which is why they win the most gold medals. Then, there are smaller nations like St. Lucia or Botswana (with small population) that have one exceptionally skilled and talented athlete who can secure a gold medal for them. And then there's India... in a unique category of its own with neither of these, (no hard work, no dedication, no determination, no mental toughness, no skills, no talent, no support system, no passion, no love, no physical strength, and no hope) nor does it even have a single athlete who is exceptionally skilled and talented despite having the world's largest population

You know all those indices report that ranks India at the bottom in almost every category, like Hunger Index, Happiness Index, Human Development Index, Environmental Performance Index... After seeing India's 2024 Olympic bottom-of-the-ladder results, it finally makes sense. India ranks 111 out of 116 on the Hunger Index - Because of no food, poor nutrition, insufficient energy and strength to train = Poor Olympic results. India ranks 132 out of 135 on the Human Development Index - Because of lack of human development programs, inadequate training facilities, poor infrastructure, insufficient food = Poor Olympic results. India ranks last (195 out of 195) on the Environmental Performance Index - Because of poor air quality, contaminated water, no sanitation, no electricity, inadequate resources = Poor Olympic results. India ranks 126 out of 136 on the Happiness Index - Because of all of the above; poor air quality, no food, no water, no electricity, no infrastructure, no toilets all leads to low motivation and hopelessness = Low ranking in happiness = Poor Olympic results

If you see any Indians claim that they don't care about the Olympics, Be aware that it's just an excuse. The reality is that people in India still struggle with basic necessities like food and water. For a nation focused on survival, competing in the Olympic Games is far from a priority. If you see any Indians claiming that they only care about cricket and are world champions. They are not. The last ODI world cup australia beat them in their own country and broke a billion indian hearts in the process. They make up excuse by saying the T20 is better than the ODI cup.

Trading on a demo account can definitely feel similar to the real market, but there are some differences. It's important to remember that trading involves risks and it's normal to face losses sometimes. One piece of advice is to start small and gradually increase your investments as you gain more experience and confidence. It might also be helpful to seek guidance from experienced traders or do some research on different trading strategies.

Gold medal aside, India must also try to get rid of thousands of slums all over her nation and upgrade her dilapidated infra and rail system etc etc. As a pawn for US to be antagonistic against China is only detrimental to India and surely that can never help India to obtain any gold medal nor get rid of slums.. What this "simple explanation" doesn't take into consideration is marginal reserve requirement and interest rates. The US bank will in turn lend out ¥1800 at an interest rate > than they are paying to the Chinese bank (lender). If China has a reserve requirement, they would do the same in China. So the net result is dependent on the arbitrage opportunity that may exist in the market. So both banks flood the market with ¥ and $, and the net result is only "known" at the expiry of the loans. China's advantage is the backing of their central bank, while the US bank is more vulnerable to the decisions of the US Reserve bank, which may choose to allow the US bank to default and collapse, but encourage another US bank to buy the collapsed bank at a bargain

16 billion or 100 billion is just pocket change in China's big economy, so I don't see what the big deal is. It is likely that USD will depreciate because Trump already said that he wants a cheaper USD to help US export.

Government has unlimited access to their currency so the time is not an issue for China so when currency will fluctuates- they will make profit. Government making money for their citizens. Especially when China’s economy is struggling. Smart!
