８年前に日本の山口県でも開催された。やはり最高気温は40度になった。台風は来なかった。シャワー、トイレは快適、毎日新鮮の食材が提供され、ハラール、ビーガン、ベジタリアンにも配慮された。毒虫に襲われる事も無かった。参加した子供たちは、みんな笑顔だった。一生に一度のチャンスをぶち壊された。日本開催の成功をなぜ参考にしない。山口県に来た子供たちは、みんな日本が大好きになった。台風は仕方無いが、子供たちはぜひ笑顔で帰国してください。友情の輪が広がる事を祈ります。同級生は、1971年、富士の裾野で開催された大会に参加した。一生の宝、と今でも言っている。

The Jamboree at Mt.Fuji was amazing. A typhoon came and everyone evacuated. When I think about it now, it's a miracle that that huge crowd was able to move smoothly.

My nephew is age 15 at Seoul, South Korea scout Jamboree 🇰🇷 He said everything is fine. He is from tropical 🇦🇺 Australia. The Korean government has done a lot of measures to make things better. He's critical of the British and Americans complaining about the heat and food. They have pulled out and gone to Hotel/Motels, but they wanted it in the middle of summer. The food my nephew is a fussy eater and said nothing wrong with the food.

What these Indian reporters do not UNDERSTAND is wet bulb temperature. I guarantee you place anyone of Indian Nationality in 38C wet bulb (NOT dry heat like in India) they will have trouble coping , too. The reason is, that these countries are not normally this warm so the climate is now very, very HUMID and Hot. This is why 'Indians' cannot understand why 38C in these countries is a very REAL problem. Heat is so dry and dusty in India, but can be bearable. I have spend extend periods of time in BOTH countries and 40C in the UK 3,000 people died last summer because of heat related illness.

Like as if we Indians don't understand wet heat lol.. I'm from India but not from the "dry heat" hot temperatures of central and North Western India but from the Eastern parts,where humidity reigns supreme, most of our villages and cities in the eastern and North eastern India is situated in the hills and mountains (Himalayan regions and offshoot of the Himalayas,ranging from 2k feet above)up in the hills and mountains temperature is very nice during summer,you don't need AC ,and you don't even need a ceiling fan but winters are very cold,some places gets snow and some not high places temperature in summer are 0°C to 6°C, but I'm not talking about winter temperature in the hills and mountains, I'm talking about the valleys below those mountains,In summer it is very unbearable, I've lived in the Capital of India,New Delhi for 3 years(a hot dry place in North West part of India) over in Delhi summer temperatures can reach 45°C but it is BEARABLE for me as it is dry heat,but from where I am from a 30°C is very unpleasant because of the humidity,the humidity gets as high as 75 to 90 during The months of June to August, Today's temperature is 32°C (there's no sun today,it's covered in cloudy skies because up in the mountains it is raining,about 209 mm to 300mm rain,We get high rainfall too,more than anybody else,our region gets the highest rainfall on this planet, surprisingly it don't cause damage by GODs grace but the low lying areas of our neighbourhood states gets all the floodings)but it says "It feels like 47°C so it is 47°C by humidity standard,To be honest today's quite tame in comparison to other peak summer days,our temperatures goes up to 39°C and it "feels like 51°C according to wheather apps and wheather channels)😂😂😂 and here's the thing,i walk 4 kilometres everyday (, except on Sundays because that's when I go to Church) to Vocational class and back (from 10 a.m to 3.p.m) ofc I do own a car and two wheeler but as i don't go to gym i decided walking is a great way to be fit...

High temperature is felt everywhere. In the past years, there was a water restriction in California because of water depletion due to very hot weather. People prayed for rain and sure enough it rained and it flooded a lot of the farmlands and cities. So far so good because we now have adequate water. The Korean government is pushing the jamboree to the end to avoid their responsibility, and we don't know whose pockets the astronomical budget went into. The Korean government held the jamboree for political and business purposes just to influence the 'Saemangeum' development project. To them, children don't matter.
