3 Days to Go for Nigerian Protests: Tinubu Govt Scrambles to Stop Them | Vantage With Palki Sharma
Nigerian government scrambles to prevent the #EndBadGovernance protests scheduled for August 1. State-run oil giant NNPC announced job openings on the social media platform X. Religious leaders are asking people not to protest. The Nigerian police want all prospective demonstrators to submit a host of details at the nearest police station. Will Tinubu's government manage to stop the protests before they begin?

I am a Nigerian. The state of affairs of the nation is beyond explanable. The govt actually paid protesters who are govt workers for an anti-protest March which was today. More so, Tinubu's daughter is the head of Market women in Nigeria (by delegation) she is actually forcing those traders to an anti-protest March on 1st of August against the actual planned Endbadgovernance Protest.... It worsening everyday being a Nigerian living in Nigeria without being in Politics or doing fraud & others.... The new minimum wage is not up to $50 in a month... Cost of living is worst & even a Bag of rice 🍚 cannot be purchased within the country with the minimum wage

There’s nothing “Almighty” about Indians exploiting our continent for money. They are no better than Europeans. And thanking them for exploitation is quite frankly pathetic. We the youths can't build our future with bad governance! Things are crazily hard in our country, we were hoping that the current government will make it better, but it feels like we're being dragged deeper and deeper into the depths of the ocean.... Thank you for bringing this to light , some of our governors claim the people have no reason to protest just because they can not empathize with the people who are suffering , simply they are too rich to understand how it is to be an ordinary Nigerian citizen. These protest will bring shame to them and show the world how terribly the country is being governed so they look for ways to stop the protest by paying ignorant people to come out and say they are against the protest, if really there’s no need to protest then how come they are trying to sabotage the protest and these are the same people who organized protests against a previous president from an opposing political party now it’s their turn and the fear the results …… All evil needs to win is for good men to do nothing !

Nigeria politicians are wicked We don't even believe in the incentives they claim to provide. 70k naira minimum wage cannot feed a family for 1 week. Tinubu must reverse fuel subsidy to end high cost of living, stop borrowing to worse economic situation and restore value of naira. The suffering does not affect them bc they borrow and share money in foreign currency. Therefore they do not understand what ppl go through
