FBI Concerned About Possible Terror Attack in US Homeland, Seeks Funding | Firstpost America
Testifying before a House Budget Panel, the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, or the FBI, has raised concerns about a possible attack in the US homeland. FBI chief Christopher Wray said the concerns about a Moscow concert hall-like organised attack had escalated. He also cited concerns about terrorism to help persuade lawmakers to boost funding for the FBI. Christopher Wray also pushed lawmakers to renew a surveillance programme, saying it was key to helping the fight against terror attacks. However, the FBI Chief is facing a strong pushback from the Republicans. Former President Donald Trump alleges that the FBI unfairly targeted him while going soft on his political opponents.
