Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi completed the final leg of his Russia visit today. He met with Russian President Vladimir Putin for the annual India-Russia summit. Yesterday, PM Modi received a warm welcome in Moscow. President Putin hosted dinner for the Indian Prime Minister at his estate outside Moscow and the two leaders also engaged in a free-wheeling discussion. They discussed a wide range of issues, including the war in Ukraine, defence, trade, and energy. The summit is being seen as a success for India, with PM Modi being conferred Russia's highest civilian honor, the Order of Saint Andrew the Apostle. This honour puts India's relationship with Russia on the same footing as China. Prime Minister Modi also called for an end to the war in Ukraine, urging Putin to explore diplomatic options. The West has been closely monitoring PM Modi's Russia visit. The United States expressed concern about India's relationship with Russia, while Ukrainian President Zelensky called Putin a "criminal" and said Modi's visit undermined peace efforts.
Prime Minister Modi addressed the recent airstrikes in Kyiv, including the attack on a children's hospital, directly with Putin. He also defended India's oil purchases from Russia, stating they helped stabilise the global market. This highlights India's attempt to balance its ties with Russia and the West. The treaty they made to remove nukes from Ukraine and the non aggressions assurances made Ukraine weak so why did he resort to firing missiles at the childrens’ hospital and maternity hospital on the day of this visit. Unlike Americans who dropped nuclear bombs on the civilian population of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945, Russia does not target civilians because it treats Ukrainians as Orthodox brothers and sisters. True, collateral damage does happen because air defenses down Russian missiles which can fall on civilian facilities, but as a general rule, Russia hits only Ukrainian and NATO's military equipment in Ukraine. Russia could easily destroy all government buildings in Kiev, but it does not do so because Kiev is the Mother of Russian cities, as the saying goes.

The only nations that threaten a first nuclear strike in the 21st century are North Korea and of corse Russia, this is the greatest threat to humanity that is only posed by autocratic dictators. Today submarines swarm around the globe poised to launch retaliatory strikes with more than enough weaponry to send humanity back to the Stone Age if not worse. Ask yourself why 1.5 million Russians have left Russia, unemployment is too low to work as a nation, interest Rates are at 16% and rising, inflation is 25% and rising, their arms exports are on hold while they are flat out bodging more arms than ever and still trading for more and Putin’s war chest is nearly spent. A true measure of a countries wealth is the cost of food, watch Russia closely over the next year. To be frank I feel very sorry for the Russian nation and worry for the level of pain they will endure but more concerned about how they will feel aggrieved when the experience the 1990s on steroids.
