Canadian here. The damage Trudeau has done is incalculable. We will need many years, maybe even a generation or more, to clean up the damage. His fiscal irresponsibility was breathtaking. He literally insisted that "budgets balance themselves" and admitted that he gave little thought to monetary policy while spending money like the proverbial drunken sailor and running the printing presses overtime to print more money, causing massive inflation. His carbon tax is set to increase fourfold on April 1 and it doesn't look like there will be time to stop that increase now that Parliament has been prorogued. We will effectively be a dictatorship until Parliament re-opens on March 24 with the Liberal cabinet alone deciding everything and answerable to no one. Meanwhile, Trump has threatened a 25% tariff on EVERYTHING we export to the US on his first day in office, January 20th.

Indian living in Canada, my thoughts are he was just a toy to jagmeet. He allowed students from without proper documents and eligibility. He is letting in more and more refugees and asylum seekers where he eventually end 100 grand a year to each person which is our tax money. Health care is horrible, crime rate is growing crazy. If he allowed these people from Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Yemen, Afghanistan and many more countries including few Indians as refugee there will be more New Orleans attacks in Canada. See how bad the protests are taking place. Why there is no control for peace in the country. The main for me to choose Canada against USA is safety. Now it's too bad in Toronto compared to USA. No he looked after us during COVID. Working in ICU during COVID he saved so many lives looked after health care workers to do their proper job. He never left us without equipments on that Battle ground of Covid. A lot barely appreciated that (because they were not there first hand) but I did very much. We could have lost more than 62,632 deaths in our population of 41576371 that time. With the unemployment allowance of 1500 per month for about two years of pandemic a lot got by to survive. Covid for sure contributed to the decline a lot! After that homelessnes increased,drug and mental health increased,some also abused the allowance during COVID a lot did not return to work right away and just rely on unemployment benefits but for me who worked non stop in the worst scenario I was glad he was the prime minister. He listened to science and he looked after me and my family. In turn I did my duty worked my butt off to save lives,Extend hours to cover for needs of professional help never got sick of COVID in the height of it. I followed the rules. We have so many opinions about what our politicians should do but if we have people that are not disciplined and only rely on hand outs, no future plans to make his or her life better, it will not work. I came as an immigrant never once I did rely on financial aid . I have always been a productive member of society. I contribute paying 90K per year tax, contributes to GDP and I am a good citizen. We need more productive members of society not able takers. I respect seniors that worked all their lives and contributed to their pension( I think they should not pay tax as they already paid theirs when pension contributions was made in their income while working) I respect the disabled population physical and mental,I respect the military for their sacrifices,I respect the working class because they are the fiber of economy. I disagree that Canada is not peaceful country. A lot of people here have class and educated( 2nd most educated country in the world) never felt in danger here,no racism at work . I respect Trudeau for stepping down. I am a citizen that do us much in my power to help myself. Canada is a great country to hard working people !!Great to live here otherwise why Am I here. ? The reality now is that we need more productive members that can contribute and no longer we are able to bleed to help specially for those who can work and just use our system. In the next election I will not cast my vote because you are a household name I will based it on informed policies and in depth reviews and candidates track record. I will research who you are. Last week, I met my cousin and his wife, who are Canadian citizens and have been living in Canada for a long time. It was his first visit to Bharat in 16 years, so his perspective on the Canadian government and its policies felt truly authentic. We briefly discussed the Khalistani movement, and he shared that it's an extremely small issue for Canadians. According to him, most people, regardless of whether they are Hindus or not, don’t support Trudeau, and the movement itself is largely ignored as it's just a handful of people making noise. He admitted that he had voted for Trudeau in the past but now wants him out due to the poor policies he has introduced. We also discussed some of Canada’s pressing concerns, like taxes and treasury management, which are far more significant issues for the general population. From this conversation, I realized that while we in India are deeply affected by the Khalistani movement and the allegations made by the Canadian government, Canadians themselves aren’t as focused on this. They have much larger problems to deal with, and for them, the movement barely registers as a concern. He also touched upon Trudeau’s vote-bank politics, which, according to him, is just one of many problems Canadians face under his leadership. Honestly, as long as Trudeau isn’t supported by the majority of Canadians, I’m relieved. I shared how we Indians also need to prioritize our issues and navigate through them carefully. He listened intently, and we both smiled at the end, united by one shared sentiment: we both want him out. I think he’ll be happy to hear the news when that finally happens.
