Don't be so sure. He was associated with the World Economic Forum until people in Canada wised up to them. Then he disappeared from their website. He's controlled opposition. He's going to say the right things now, and then when he gets in he is going to say he can't do any of it because the Liberals or NDP are blocking him.

@@aloneill6337 Bruh... rent is through the roof, where i live its 1800$ for a 3 1/3 appartement per month we have no more space for 250k immigrant per years... A 40 hrs per week minimum wage doesn't even give you that in a whole month salary. People shouldn't be having to choose between rent or groceries or work 60-80 hours a week or get 2-3 jobs just to get by. They refuse to build more housing but want the whole world to come over here. Wanting a better, cheaper life for ourselves where you can pay rent and food with a decent job doesn't make us racist or hateful.
@aloneill6337
@aloneill6337 9 күн бұрын
@itskindawindy989 we do have the space, though. Housing completions in Canada have exceeded net new households nearly every year since 1956. Where did all that excess supply go? I'll tell you where it went - into the financial markets. It's the nearly 200k condos sitting empty in Toronto because nobody is willing to pay $500k for a 300 sq.ft. unit. It's landlords filing for bankruptcy protection on $144M in misappropriated funds while roughly 1 in 3 of their units sit vacant... The problem is financialization of housing, not immigration. Poilievre will not do anything to change that because profiteering off of housing is his #1 income stream, financed with his taxpayer funded salary...

@@dan84au From hearing Jordan Peterson speak about Canada, he has deep abiding love for his original home land. I believe his heart aches for all Canada's downfall. Socialism is the disease, Capitalism is the cure. It appears Pierre Poilievre is the man for the job. Not only in his ability to speak, but his resolve. He seems to be no dummy, and he can work the press, he doesn't allow them to mix him down, at least not face to face. From a woman's point of view, he seems a man's man, not wishy washy, weak minded, lacking courage, imo, what the world needs right now. Fewer women & woke activists, sure some women are cut out for some leadership positions, but not many. More obviously aware of right and wrong, good and bad, ambitious, intelligent, determined, men like Poilievre

Pierre is a savvy political strategist. He was on before after he orchestrated the coup against Erin O'fool, and kicked off the leadership race. Now that JP is with the DailyWire and has a even deeper connection to America, this is to help showcase himself to the American audience. Guaranteed at some point in 2025 he's going to have long sit down with Ben and Joe since both of them have essentially endorsed him, which is really a feat, since very few Americans (and by extension media personalities) pay attention to Canada, let alone Canadian politics/politicians.

God bless the man, but as much as this Trump voting American admires him and wishes him maximal success, he needs to correct what has to be a mistake: that in a single year in Vancouver, the same forty criminals were arrested six thousand times. That can't be true. Six hundred times is just barely possible, I suppose, though I find it impossible to believe for the simple reason that if any group of forty criminals were engaged in such protean criminal activity, they would certainly be denied bail after the first couple of hundred arrests. Something is very wrong, and I must ascribe it to misspokenness on the gentleman's part. He needs to fix it.

@@throwawayburnerusername I agree. People that think there will be an immediate change need to come to reality. Same goes for the U.S ... things take time especially in a democratic style government. Now, Poilievre is absolutely the right person to do that job and he is miles ahead of any other possible candidate... so he does deserve to win and win large, but its going to take a long time before people can start to feel any effects. Maybe he can make some quick things happen like reversing the disgusting gun bans against licensed owners and maybe bring back a level of common sense and logic, but the big changes may take some time to be felt. All we can do is put him in power and hope he does well AND keep our expectations realistic.

What Americans who don't closely follow Canadian politics realize, is that Poilievre is the latest in a line of failed CPC leaders whose main shtick is pandering to whatever is popular at the moment. The difference is that Poilievre actually has an ounce of charisma and seems like a saint compared to Trudeau, who has set the bar at being possibly *the* worst politician in modern history. But Poilievre is no anti-establishment populist like Trump. Not even close. The reality is that the "Conservative" party of Canada is much more similar to the Democrats in the US than anything else; their voting record and ties are aligned with globalist interests, mass immigration, and they fully support abortion up to birth, LGBTQ ideology, etc. Even at the height of his popularity, Poilievre has only made the slightest of concessions on these issues when it has become popular or safe enough to do so, thanks in part to some pressure from the actual right-wing party, the PPC, which he has been co-opting ideas from. ("Canada first," "common sense.") Make no mistake, it will be an improvement under Poilievre, but it will only be switching from trans-communism to gay-liberalism. It seems likely that Canada will have to go through what the UK did with a decade of a fake conservative government before people finally seek an alternative. So be it.

My wife and I are jumping ship from BC and making the move to Alberta this summer. My wife is an operations manager, and I'm an electrician by trade. We can't afford a home in BC, very evidently so. We raise our kids in an apartment where we will remain so if we don't move. This is my home; but I can't afford to raise a family here comfortabley, just barely survive. It's not fair to work ourselves to the bone and be spit on by political bureaucracy that keeps us essentially living poor; even with high paying jobs that we dedicate ourselves to. Our kids are everything; BC is a dead province for young families; our hope rests in Alberta for a good life for our kids.

I like your optimism, but here's what always happens in Canada: The Liberals slowly erode the country until there is an outcry and they get booted out. The Conservatives come in but to survive, they cannot truly follow their convictions but rather placate progressives with mediocre policy implementation. That works for as long as people still remember how bad the last Liberal government was. Memory eventually fades and we start the cycle all over again. It won't take long before Leftist pinheads will believe that the "new" Liberal leader is what we need.

This was a fantastic discussion! I listened to this twice. It gave me hope again for our beautiful country of Canada. We will absolutely need to give Pierre Poilievre and his Team time to work on fixing our economy and so much more. It took 10 years of constant destruction by our current government administration treating our country like a slum landlord. Thank you both. Happy New Year!

Despite balling my eyes out while watching this interview because of the seemingly unsurmountable challenges facing Pierre he has convinced me that there is hope for Canada. Pierre thank you for your courage and commitment to our great Dominion! I look so foward to voting for you and supporting you! 💙🇨🇦

I just listened to Mark Critch from This Hour has 22 Minutes interviewing Justin Trudeau. It was not even 5 minutes long and Mark Critch did most of the talking. Then I get to hear this. What a difference!

Poilievre clearly does retain a high amount of political information, but he remains ignorant on public policy from sheer blinkered partisanship. He is mentally incapable of ever considering any policy issue from the perspective that any Conservative patriarch has ever done anything wrong.

P.P. is a halfwitted civic nationalist, thinking that all he has to do is wag his finger at the million immigrants coming into Canada, and order them to leave their baggage at home, forget their culture and "just be Canadians, not hyphenated Canadians" - and of course they are all going to obey, without question or resistance. LOL.

I don't think Trump is CLOSE to sanity (you need a third, moderate, party, because I don't really think either option was good), and I KNOW he lied about election fraud (just do your homework). I NEVER voted Trudeau. Only a complete idiot votes for someone to be their Prime Minister when he thinks budgets balance themselves. I will DEFINITELY vote Pierre Poilliere.

We were lucky enough to see what the Republicans are doing to the US now under Trump and PP has the same plans as them and are just as homophobic here. I was told to take a long walk off a pier the other day for being gay by a fellow Canadian that is acting like a Maga here now. I'm not sure how a Doctor can stand for that type of rhetoric either especially when he talks about Narcissists??
