Hey man, great video! I used to fish tarpons with my dad in Brazil. This fishing is really particular, it is a visual fishing. You should observe the water and just wait for the fish to come to top water (just like on 23:23 and 23:30) and then you cast just behind it. Reel in aprox. 3 times, stop for half a second, and keep doing it this way. You'll catch'em a lot more! The white shad you're using is great choice, by the way. Good luck on your next adventures!

woah! i live just a town away from there! youtube recommended me a fishing video a week ago and i never expected this rabbit hole to get so close to home! I loved those big towers as a kid as at nighttime they would blink out of sync which was fun to watch. There used to be 2 big thick ones that were my absolute favorite but they got torn down a few years ago. Never knew it was right next to the river lol. Pretty mindblowing.
@andrewhayes142010 ай бұрын
I live near a now decommissioned power plant. When it was in operation, the cooling tower outflow was 10F warmer than the surrounding water. It housed migratory fish like striped bass and bluefish year round. Now, fish still show up there, but not nearly as much.

@@mikeh2520 Yessir.
@mikeh2520Ай бұрын
@@andrewhayes1420 I used to fish there too. The first time I went, I paddled up the creek in my Kayak and I got out and fished from the bank near the bridge. A little while latter, I was greeted by a NJ State Policeman and a NJ National Guardsman who had a big automatic rifle on his shoulder. They told me it was OK to fish but the "boat" was not allowed there. Apparently there were signs on a fence saying so but the bushes had obscured them so I had no idea.
@andrewhayes1420Ай бұрын
@@mikeh2520 Yeah, back in the day, they took security VERY seriously. Pulling into the dirt lot across the road for too long would result in a bunch of Humvees surrounding your car. I know people who hopped the fence on the western side of 9 and fished there; they said the fishing was better, but you would be confronted by the aforementioned rifles before too long.

As an employee of one of these places, the water going out is cleaner than the water coming in. This appears to be a mixture of coal and natural gas plant. There is no radiation as that is not a nuclear facility. Also there is more radiation in your home than we face on a daily basis at a nuclear facility.
