I once saw a show where they wanted to prove this: they had normal people (well, not 400 pound whales, put reasonable sportive normal people) who have never played football at all, try to catch it without and with gloves. Without they caught like 1/20 and with gloves they got like 80% of the catches and almost all of the other 20% was just confusion about where the ball is coming. It's huge.

Wilson's numbers were misleading. A lot of his touchdowns and passing yards came in garbage time or during late rallies that came up short. He took so many unnecessary sacks. It was painful to watch. It's not even about whether you think Saleh is good or bad, you're simply not making the playoffs or posing any serious threat with an interim HC who is also serving as the defensive coordinator. That Wilson catch was more impressive to me than the Odell grab, if only because he did that with a guy draped on his back, with barely any room left in the endzone & on a 3rd & 19. It bothers me that as long as we have been watching the OBJ catch that we still call it a “one-handed” catch. It’s was a “two-fingered” catch and that makes it even more amazing. If you watch it closely and slowly, OBJ caught that ball with two fingers behind his head.

Stroud is a one hit wonder, this is more than a sophmore slump, now that teams have tape on him, we see how mediocre he truly is. People always overhype rookies to be the next great QB, they did the same with strong armed Herbert. Neither are top 10 QBs let alone top 5
