Literally every other QB was there. Aaron is the only player in the entire league without a contract dispute that’s missing minicamp. It’s pretty hypocritical of him to say “get all that bs not related to winning out of here” and then he voluntarily makes football not a priority. If it was something serious, the absence would be excused. Teams do that all the time.

I feel like "star" implies elite. So far I think Hall has been really good, but I don't think any RB should be considered elite until they are reliable 1k a year runners. And in 2023, Hall wasn't even the most electric sub 1k runner in his own division, because Achane averaged 7.8 a carry and had more touchdowns with less playtime due to injury. Also keep in mind, I'm not a Hall hater. I actually think he has what it takes to be great. But he hasn't actually delivered yet.

Scrimmage Yards Leaders last season: McCaffrey - 2,023 CeeDee - 1,862 Tyreek - 1,814 Breece Hall - 1,585 Coming off of an ACL with probably the worst O-Line in the league, bad QB play and bad play calling he was 2nd in scrimmage yards amongst RBs and 4th overall. He could barely run behind his terrible line so he made it for it any other way he could. Not a star?

I can understand and agree with Nicks argument that the Jets dont have “stars” all over their offense; but the argument about the Jets QB play is maybe the worst I’ve ever heard from him. He would absolutely and unequivocally take Devito and all those other guys over Zach Wilson. Wilson had a surprisingly good game against the Chiefs, and has been horrible otherwise. Rodgers will like been somewhere between the 10th and 20th best QB next year (depending on health) and that is a HUGE upgrade over the past two years. Nicks just joined Colin on the personal vendetta bus against Rodgers, which I can understand, but they both seem oblivious to it.

The Jets were lucky to win 7 games last year after Rodgers went down. If they had to do it again, without Rodgers, they probably only win 5 or 6 at most. They should be better with Rodgers, but they are probably 9 to 10 wins at best and that might not be enough to make the playoffs.
