Fish and Chips with Fish Shop Curry Sauce

I've got one of those peelers, an actual Victorian one. It's ludicrously useless but it looks like a hideous mediaeval torture device. I don't often make fish and chips at home because my nearest chippy is only a couple of minutes away and everything is cooked to order. There's always a queue out of the door and it's just £6.20 for fish and chips with curry sauce or peas. Riversdale fisheries in Cross Hills, it's like a community centre.

That's extremely cheap, 1 portion of Fish n Chips with curry sauce is £10.00 Here, It's large and delicious but expensive.

Ey up our lad our goer Keef. Wow, this video made my mouth water! Fish and chips are already a classic, but adding that fish shop curry sauce takes it to a whole new level of deliciousness. I can imagine the crispy exterior of the fish contrasting perfectly with the creamy, flavourful curry sauce. Definitely going to try this recipe out at home! Thanks for sharing such a tempting dish.

Your spot on chef our chippys called fruity and as apples and sultanas in and very mild goes nice with all kind chicken fish even pies and rice

Awesome, very well researched recipes! I need to try that curry sauce, it looks really good although I suspect 99% of chippies use a bought-in powder mix thing. I’ve used lard but beef dripping is new to me. I’ve added it to the shopping list for tomorrows (late) valentines steak and chips meal for the missus

Gawd I’m so ticked as i had to chuck all my curry paste sauces away i had frozen because the repair man said the replacement compressor was damaged. These people have replaced the ice maker auger, cleaned all the condensers coils, moaned that the fridge/freezer was too full of food etc only to find out it wasn’t any of that.😡 Rant over. Try cooking your chips from cold in the melting fat they don’t get soggy at all, but do get brown and crispy. Omg scaps ❤️❤️❤️❤️👍🏼

Nay, Lass, it sounds like you've every right to rant and I'm right sorry for you. Years ago I called the city gas people because I'd catch a whiff of natural gas every so often. When I returned from work, the baby sitter told me the inspector had showed up but not much had happened. I saw the gent had pulled the stove away from the tap, left a note that I'd have to call a repairman & thoughtfully red tagged my anti as unsafe to use. This was the eve of (American Thanksgiving) and my parents & sister were coming for my 1st one in the old house I'd bought 9 months before. I smelt no gas & so I pushed the stove back. Dinner next day went fine. I never called to rant though I could have done!
