As promised 2 months ago I have just made this and it has turned out magnificently and tastes out of this world, thanks KC

Every year at this time, I come back to this video to watch it again and remind myself that I do not come close to having the patience to attempt making a gingerbread house. See you again next year.

What's happened to put prices up recently? We have always found groceries in the UK to be much cheaper than here in Germany.

When you store them you should put a slice of apple with them in their box, this keeps them soft! Greetings from Germany

I have one of those and it sits in the cupboard because I burned myself trying to assemble them when the machine had been preheated. I may try it again by using the same method you have and heat the machine once the pies are assembled... I'm curious how you got them out of the machine before they were cooked.

boy! am i surprised to hear the pronounciation to be almost PERFECT! im always displeased as a german when english native speakers butcher our trad-dishes names. for starters "eu" is not "u", its "oi" as in "shtroisall-koo-han". or "ie" its not "i", its "e". some of them can say "wiener schnitzel" right and then butcher other "ie" names, but some of them say actually "whiner schnitzel". no. "ie" = "e" sound. i will benevolently forgive the "ch" turning into a "k". in times of google translate, i think, one CAN make the effort to at least hear how its pronounced, and that goes for anyone everywhere. anyhow....gotta go to the supermarket soon to fill myself up with LAYB-KOO-HEN. yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

Having health issues lately so just in case I don't see another Keef video before Christmas I'll wish you and Mrs Keef a very merry Christmas and all the best in 2025 here. Our Canada Post has been striking for weeks so no cards were going or coming this year, but thank goodness for technology, we aren't completely cut off. 🥴 Blessings Keef, thanks for all the goodies. 🤗🎄🇨🇦🎄

Forgive the addendum; getting right forgetful. At Christmas Eve, I told my boys (now 28 & 31! Good grief) that Santa gets lots of cookies & milk left for him. The canny choice would be homemade shortbread and a wee dram. So over the years,first their mother kindly baked. Then I took over the task. And finally the eldest learned how to bake. I did my part to ensure Santa emptied the glass. Cheers!

Keef, HAPPY CHRISTMAS, to you and everyone watching. Just an observation: you should have cracked and separated the egg yolks into your main mixing bowl right at the start, then added the flour and butter, sugar, spices, etc. Using the two smaller bowls wasted so much of the egg yolks, and you created an unnecessary washing-up job for yourself 😅. Anyhow, yummy Christmas recipe 😋. Thank you.
@CricketsBay4 күн бұрын
Adding the butter to the flour and stuff doesn't work so great if the eggs go in the big bowl first.
@rickbear72493 күн бұрын
@CricketsBay I've never had a problem with ignoring the mixing order of recipes. Just melt the butter before you begin. Alternatively, crack and separate your egg yolks into your smallest bowl, then completely clean the bowl of egg yolk by putting a small amount of your mixed ingredients into the small bowl to ensure none is wasted on the side of the bowl. I hate seeing the amount of food waste when people use multiple prescription bowls.

Bring back local produce
@Keefcooks9 күн бұрын
@@jeneral-jeff8402 Ah, ok. Some confusion here - in the UK a 'market' is a place where local produce would be sold from stalls, sometimes indoors, sometimes outside. And if you are lucky enough to live close to one that's a wonderful thing. But by 'commercial markets' I'm guessing you mean supermarkets like Tesco, Sainsbury's etc. Realistically the country wouldn't function without them.
