Grinded garam masala:
Cloves - 4
Cardamom - 1
Cinnamon - 1 inch
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Black pepper - 1 tsp
Coriander seeds - 2 tbsp
Dry red chillies (10-12)
Star Anise - 1
Stone flower - 1 tbsp
In separate bowl:
Fish grinded masala
Salt
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
Lemon juice - 5 tsp
Ginger & Garlic paste - 2 tbsp
Mix well and adjust consistency by adding water
(Keep some for Biryani preparation)
Apply to Fish - 1 kg
Onions - 4 (Medium size/250gms)
Blend into paste
Oil - 100ml
Fry fish pieces
Masala curry for Biryani:
Fish fried oil - 4 tbsp
Onion paste
Remaining masala
Chopped tomatoes
Coriander leaves - 1/4 cup
Mint leaves - 1/4 cup
Basmati Rice - 2 Glasses/500gms
Biryani preparation:
Oil - 3 tbsp
Bay leaves - 3
Stone flower - 2 tbsp
Crushed Spices
(Cardamom - 4
Cinnamon - 1 inch
Cloves (5-6)
Mace - 1 small flower)
Star Anise - 2
Green chillies (10-12) (Put marks in the middle)
Coriander leaves - 1 cup
Mint leaves - half cup
Ginger & Garlic paste - 2 tbsp
Salt
3 1/4 Glasses water for 2 Glasses soaked Basmati Rice
30 mins Soaked Basmati Rice
Masala curry (Only in the centre)
Place Fried fish pieces on rice
Cover pieces & curry with rice
Sprinkle coriander leaves
Leave for 15 mins on low flame
