Pelletier's is my very first fish boil. I can say that the meal is excellent, even non-fish eaters in our party agree to that. I was expecting it to be salty but it is not. You can tell that the fish was freshly caught, not frozen. The red potatoes and very sweet corn are perfect pair to the fish. My suggestion is to skip the sliced bread with butter they serve you because the main course is huge and filling. Another huge plus when we went to Pelletier are the stores next to it. There is an amazing music store that sells... all things music. Note pads that says Chopin Lizst (get it?). There is a souvenir shop that sells decor for your lake house or cabin. And most importantly an ice cream shop.

It was so hard for me to watch this video. My family has not been to Door County since 2018. The whole family has not made it since 2017. Many in my family have been regular Door County visitors since the 1960's. People get older and find new commitments. That's life. For twelve years that was our summer family vacation spot. Pelletier's, Al Johnson's Swedish Pancake House, Jo-Jo's Pizza, Husby's and, always our first stop, Wilson's Ice Cream were always food favorites. There was MUCH more history there. in 2014 our regular hotel was changing hands between parents and daughter. The remodel was keeping it closed until July so, as our trip was in June, we'd be unable to stay that year. We ended up staying at a place called The Shallows. At check in my Mom mentioned that my Aunt and Uncle would stay there in the early to middle 1960's. The owner lady asked what their names were and my Mom told her. This lady found a sign in log from 1967 with my Aunt, Uncle, and Cousin staying in room 6 in the main Lodge... Absolutely incredible. Hands down though... My favorite family vacation moment was my Nephew ordering a hamburger at Fred & Fuzzy's (I think that's what it was called... It was at a golf course). He said, "May I please have a plain hamburger with no grease please ma'am?"... Awesome. I did think of one more extra fond memory. I don't remember the guys name. He was very old and passed a few years back. He would lead a sing-a-long at the Ephraim Community Center at 7pm on Sunday Nights during the summer. I got to spend a couple of hours with my parents... just singing and enjoying.

My family loves Door County and we try to visit every year. We stopped visiting during the pandemic and also as you mentioned family has other commitments and got busy. I posted videos of our travels to remind me of the fun and happy memories with family and friends. I love that your family has a long history of visiting Door County and with this channel we get to share ours. Thanks for stopping by. 😍
