I received a tiny captive-bred coral beauty for my birthday 18 months ago, and it has grown into a gorgeous, brightly-coloured specimen. It’s active all over the tank (325G) and a champion eater. I do have a question - I’ve noticed that mature specimens tend to look slightly faded. Is this natural, or perhaps diet-related in an aquarium? Excellent video! 👍🏻

There is a slight fading of colour as the Coral beauty gets older, however there are lots of geographical variants in the hobby, some of which are much less bright than others. It’s possible you were looking at a less bright variant. Cam

Can you keep one in a bio cube 32 gallon with two clown fish, one royal gramma, 4 blue leg hermits and 3 snails?

I think that’s probably pushing it. A juvenile CB would be ok for a year or two.

The space isn’t large enough to ethically house a max size Coral Beauty.

I wish you would have covered how long they live and what size tank they need as adults.

I really like Centropyge and am thinking of adding a couple to my 600g. I have plenty of rock work for them to hide. They’re one of those “reef caution” fish. Do they like to eat sponges Cam?
