I am a midwesterner, closest ocean is 800 miles away. Can you do the same with freshwater fish? Give me a reason to go catch some carp, lol. Bought a gallon of fish hydrolysate a couple years ago, I know I spent over $50.00 for it. Use it as a fungal food in my compost teas mainly. Watching you feed the gulls reminded me when I took my kids to visit Mickey in Orlando. Paid way too much for a sandwich that a gull snatched out of my hands, funny now, not so much back then. New subscriber. Stay Well!!!

Oh no! Disney gulls are bandits! Considering what you paid to get in there the gulls should say, "Yes, please" and, "Thank you!" Looks like it's time for you to go fishing. Fresh water works too.

It is sooooooo much better than store-bought. No comparison.

Interesting! Would like to follow the process. Does it smell much? Haven't got any boxes in the woods. 😂

😅No. Once it's submerged it barely smells at all. Before I found this market I bought three or four MUCH smaller whole fish and did the process in a small, Igloo cooler. It was plenty for my tea brews and no mess, except for the cutting up part.

You could even do a small amount in a jar. Cover with a paper towel and keep it in a dark, cool place.
