@@samuelgonzalez3275 depends, planners are made in different sizes to carry different loads, so you can absolutely run an umbrella rig behind one, it just has to be a big enough planner

This is a lamiglass x11, 9ft 6in medium action rod with an abu Garcia ambassador 6501C baitcaster reel. However you could use any rod reel combo to deploy a side planer.
