Fish on while fixing my Saltiga reel

My Saltiga broke during topwater action. Hand reeling was togh but we landed the fish!
Big thanks to my mate Tom for helping reel in the fish despite the crazy swell!

such a bummer when the reel is not working during the bitting time....have you had it checked and find the the cause? I guess it might relate to the megaseal.

Yes bro, Daiwa replaced the handle and I think the gears inside, but it was quite quick🤙

Is the saltiga 6000xh good for jigs or should i go for 6000hg?

XH supposedly better for shorejigging landbased since it requires faster line retrieve. The H more to slower retrieve lures like bigger soft plastic or live baiting.

I've been getting them at wollongong dude early nornings last one yesterday Ur right but I think there has been more fish In. Sydney ATM the daytime fishing is hard atm

South Beach North end early mornings and of the breakwall at the harbour this chill has really made it hard lately

It fixed already. Daiwa has replaced the handle and gears inside. When it comes to Australian warranty, Daiwa is top notch🤙

Saltiga will be fine its just the main gear or similar . Easy easy fix. Shouldnt cost too much eiyher😊
