The 600 / 750 don't look tiny anymore.. 🤔👍👍😅 With clear water and good lighting and fully scaped... Seeing big fish in front and same 'littler' fish in the back! It's like the Aquariums you pay to go and see!! Am soooo happy for you, my good man! -By the way, your reef tank looks like some spots we snorkel at on Maui.. With all the rock work and space, it's great to see your fish acting like they are in the sea! -Cheers! (Scotty)

Hey Scotty! That is one of the best compliments that I could receive, that a tank looks like a real slice of nature! :-) Yeah I think the best way to show the size of tanks is when you see lot's of big fish swimming around and see how much space they have.

Lookin sweet. The Amazonian Islands looks so cool with that bridge in the back. Really gives it a tropical vibe. My other favorite tank is the reef slope; just the way those fish interact with the rockwork and the depth and height is incredible. Keep up the great work!
@AquariumDomain.2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Phil! The fish in Amazonian Islands really seem to enjoy the bridge as well...always swimming around it. :-)

Always the same feeling……………making me want to change around my aquariums and indoor ponds Spot on with your tanks and fish, can see the health on all of them and plants are doing well
@AquariumDomain.2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Brett! It does feel a bit weird having so many tanks being recently revamped / redone in the last few months all at the same time. I like it best once tanks are about a year old...they get really dialed in and just look great.

Look at the Neolamprologus Brichardi… my favorite fish in the planet! Ironically, I live closer to their place of origin, and I’m the furthest from them I have ever been!

Beautiful tanks in your fresh water color tank you should put some plates in There after the plants grow up they have so many colors it would add that pop and wow a factor to the tank
@AquariumDomain.2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. I was thinking to start it off with the baby swords I put in from the 3000 gallon, but I agree a mix of colors with the plants and the fish will look great! Going to be fun seeing this tank evolve over time. :-)

I just found this channel. It's small, but it's very well done. Not perfect yet, but definitely not amateur. I would gladly support this channel in any way possible and would love to watch it grow. Can't wait to see more, job well done

Hehe yeah definitely not perfect :-) In all seriousness though I do appreciate any constructive criticism to try and make it better. I appreciate the kind words and glad you found my channel!

This is good news with the DIY build.... cost and step by step, and to see the finish pieces. I'm really digin the bog style filters too.
@AquariumDomain.2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Charles! I still get a lot of questions from previous DIY build videos on materials, cost, etc. so I figure it will be helpful to people to do a DIY series that is less entertainment more of a step by step tutorial type of thing...hopefully still entertaining lol :-)

You should try Brazilian pennywort for a bog filter. I had it growing in a 10g with endlers and it started growing out of the tank and all the way down to the floor and even made it into the tank next to it and started growing in there.
@AquariumDomain.2 жыл бұрын
Hey Tim! Good call, Brazilian Pennywort is an awesome bog filter plant. I had it one time in the past and it grew underwater, above water and crept out of the tank towards a window...it was awesome! :-)

Ever considered putting cherry shrimp into the Asian jungle aquarium?
@AquariumDomain.2 жыл бұрын
I did add 30 cherry shrimp to the 125 Asian Jungle aquarium, which was where the fish in the 600 moved from and they all got picked off by the Barbs. I thought the dense vegetation and adding 30 at once would allow them to survive, but it didn't work out. :-(

what do you have for algae eaters in the the double DIY build aquariums?
@AquariumDomain.2 жыл бұрын
In the 600 Asian Jungle there are 3 or 4 Siamese Algae eaters and probably about 10 Panda Garra. The 750 has 20ish Bristlenose Pleco. With the tanks being so big I could use more algae eaters in both. :-)

In the 600 gallon tank, there's a rainbow shark with white fins? what variety is that? Also are those black ruby barbs, or green tiger barbs, or some type of black tiger barb?
@AquariumDomain.2 жыл бұрын
The Rainbows w/White fins were sold as Ghost Sharks, as far as I know they are just a variant of Rainbow Shark. Those are just regular Green Tiger Barbs....they are probably 4 years old now and definitely darkened up over the years.

Some hoplo cats would love to live in the river bend.
@AquariumDomain.2 жыл бұрын
Good call on the Hoplo Catfish, they look good and are the perfect size and temperament. Definitely might see them in the River Bend, Amazonian Island or Discus tank....good fit for all of them. :-)

Don't know how you pay your electricity bill🤣 I have 3 big tanks and that's bad enough on Electricity..

Hehe :-) Key thing is heating/cooling the basement not the tanks..so no heaters. Also led lighting and dc pumps helps a lot! :-) All that said, it still costs me a couple hundred a month :-(
