Are you adding a extra valve and hose in your system to use to vacuum the bottom of the tanks?
@BenAfricanCichlids3 жыл бұрын
I just installed one in my system. It sure make cleaning easier.
@JasonsCichlids3 жыл бұрын
Most of the tanks are actually bare bottom tanks with a power filter in each, so thankfully, they don't actually require gravel vacs. However, those that do have gravel (only the similis tank and peppermit bn cats). Simply plug the vac onto the outlet I installed and vac them that way as required.

I’m really following this series Jason, I have my small breeding setup of five x 2 ft tanks and trying to work out a water change system for them 🤔
@JasonsCichlids3 жыл бұрын
Good to hear John. Glad you're finding them useful. Give it some thought, the system can obviously be done on any amount of tanks. The less, the simpler too.

Ensure you watch part 5 before building this system! You can watch the entire playlist here: kzbin.info/aero/PLTPNViTff4qgg71j9dbveUZ-K0YlK_DhS

Dude! You really need to raise the volume of your videos! You are like 30-50% lower than all the other clips i watch
@JasonsCichlids3 жыл бұрын
Cheers for the feedback on the volume. I have had a number of people say they hear a high pitch tone in my videos, so have been trying to remedy that issue. But definitely can increase the volume for you guys.

I'm using similar parts to you but I'm having leaks at all the connections even with hose clamps on both sides any advice
@JasonsCichlids3 жыл бұрын
Hi there, I really recommend you watch part 5 of this series. The solution I might be trying is plumbers tape on all the joins and then screw on metal hose clamps. Part 5 is here kzbin.info/www/bejne/qHSxXoeoaa2DlZY

@@JasonsCichlids I'll definitely try that out thank you!
