You should do a tour of wildwoods (world of water) in crews hill. Only 20mins away from this Maidenhead and definitely worth a visit!

Another great video, do you know or come across a cheaper way off doing the plumbing to a sump bulkhead etc ?? At the moment to do 2 from tank to sump is working out £178 for the grey OD pipe

Absolutely an amazing Maidenhead store, the setup, display tanks the fish selection and how clean and healthy the tanks and fish are, I seen 1 fancy goldfish listing on its side, but didn’t see any dead fish at all. Not like the Maidenhead brand in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 especially the stores near Edinburgh, there tiny in comparison to the English Maidenhead, most tanks are in very poor condition, some dead fish, poor quality in their plants section, just shit really, in complete contrast to the English shops/stores. A great tour though, appreciated for sure. 👍

I’ve visited a few of the shops you’ve done shop tours of. My furthest one to date was from Wiltshire to trop corp a week after you went there, and I bought 4 geo’s whilst there!

@@MicksFishUk there’s actually 3 aquatic shops you can do if you want in close proximity. Maidenheads at Summerhill Garden Centre Billericay then Creations Wickford then Swallow Aquatics in Rayleigh. It’s a worthwhile trip for 3 shops.

Nice long in depth video. Good stuff. The only issue with that place is, the lack of knowledge, misidentified fish and the over pricing. Other than that, it’s good. Nile Perch would be absolutely fine with Arowana. They are not aggressive and the Arowana wouldn’t bother it. I’ve kept a couple with arowana.

I popped into St Albans Maidenhead Aquatics on my way up north after visiting my sister a couple of years ago. It is a massive shop and is fantastic for dry goods and for checking out tanks etc but the fishroom was more like a fish graveyard! It was horrific how bad some the fish were, and the staff were not interested in their customers either. I was really disappointed, it is strange how people have a difference experience of the same place.

I visited it about 2 months ago when I was in the area and all the fish looked in good condition apart from the one fish which had jumped out of it's pond and was dead on the floor in the outside area. My local maidenhead aquatics however everytime I go in had dead fish in their tanks and it's not like they don't have the staff to inspect the tanks either.

How come down south they have great sear ups with loads to chose from. But here in the north east it’s all the cramped into the corner of a garden centre. It’s Like we don’t appreciate fish as much.

But I will stick to my point, that if you don’t have a decent aquarium shop in your neighbourhood, and you used to have one, it’s most likely because the shop couldn’t keep up an earning in the first place. If the money’s there the shop will rise to it.

could easly spend a full day in there... the 2 maidenhead shops in newcastle are realy disapointing there realy small compared to this 1 nowhere near as much equipment or live stock ☹️☹️
