God I'd hate to be an actor, always having to come up with new answers for the same questions in every interview for a film your promoting and yet still looking as if you've never been asked that question before. Oh nearly forgot to say.. Michael in this is fit I'd love to be the one in one particular scene in 'Fish Tank' with him ;)

Congrats you’ve missed the point of the film. 😅
@barbiedoll442 жыл бұрын
@@nightstorm16 and what point may that be?
@nightstorm162 жыл бұрын
@@barbiedoll44 The director forbade Michael from reading the script, so that his character’s actions couldn’t be pre-meditated. It’s not a film about a predator, it’s a film about the way morality is absent in the face of abject poverty, and the fetishisation of the working class by the middle class. If you read the film as black and white, you missed the point. The point of this film is to highlight the moral grey areas created by the working class high-rise environment in the UK.
@barbiedoll442 жыл бұрын
@@nightstorm16 we can acknowledge that it’s a film about the divide between lower class and middle class whilst simultaneously acknowledging that his character is severely flawed. he himself knew what he was doing was wrong when he says “you’re 15.” before proceeding to kiss her. he is a grown man with a wife and kid, cheating with her not only on another woman but also taking advantage of a young girl who’s already going through the ringer. as a teenager myself i can understand from her pov why she’d desire him and think she’s in love with him, etc. but he is completely at fault. i love the film it’s a brilliantly and beautifully told story. do not try and act high and mighty as though everyone else is missing the point of the film when the majority already KNOW it’s about class, we watched it too

@@PSYCKYO lol so? How is that an argument for the current economic system? You can use that as an argument in favor of US slave societies. Slaves were much better off in the 1850s than they were in the 1750s, is that an argument for slavery? That's a shit argument. Wages haven't gone up in 40 years. The bottom 50% of Americans net worth decreased by 900 billion the last 30 years. This system isn't working.

@@nfys3793 I’m not sure if it was though, I have to fast forward it because it makes me feel sick. Not sure if you are a woman or a bloke but if you’re the latter maybe reassess the situation they were in and the fact he had plied her with drink and took advantage of her vulnerabilities (age and circumstance). Sex that happens from one taking advantage of another isn’t hot.
@thegirlinquestion3 жыл бұрын
@@Hippidippidora completely agree with you. yes fassbender is an attractive man but his character was not, he groomed poor mia. then after that awful sex scene he just leaves her on the sofa to put her pyjamas back on. sad, and definitely not hot.

@@thegirlinquestion yeah thanks for the comment, nice to know there are people sensitive to mias position 😅. I do understand the differences of opinions to come extent though cause I think the director deliberately tried to make the film cast no judgement on what happened. Also I think porn nowadays does blur the line on consent because so many women are depicted as wanting to be used or getting aroused by every type of treatment they endure in videos. We deffo need better sex education in schools to push against this I feel.
