Thoroughly enjoyed this trip with Carl aka Bean. We got on like a house on fire, literally laughing from the moment we woke up (generally to his bite alarm) (and not together I might add lol) and caught some great carp. We ate rather well too - compliments to the chef, the lake and the cameramen who made it easy in such wet conditions. ❤️Looking forward to a trip soon Carly boy

I rarely comment on KZbin videos, but this just made me smile all the way. Have been following Carl and his brother for years as well as the Korda channel, and I have to say that this episode combined the best of both worlds. It felt like a typical Carl video showing the entire experience and giving the video that warm inviting feeling. But it got paired with the typical Korda hardcore fishing stuff as well that draws me to their channel. Great pairing of channels and two awesome anglers, hope to see more videos with these two. Really glad to see you climbing the ladder Carl, could not have happened to a more deserving and humble person.

A tip for getting your van out of slippery mud and grass - Keep a couple of offcuts of carpet about 1ft wide by 6-10ft long rolled up in the back of your van somewhere so you can deploy them to improve traction where necessary, a couple of bivvy pegs can help pin things down but generally not needed

There were a few snags still in the margins of the lake, so the boat helped with landing the fish safely - these snags have since been removed by the Embryo team!
