This doesn't seem to work at all on Windows. I can click to add multiple nodes, but clicking back on the starting node does not close the polygon. Also, when I hover over an existing node, a tooltip says "drag to change", but it always creates a new node instead.

Is there a program that calculates the area automatically? For example, I want to know the percentage of the contested regions in the Ukraine war that are not under Russian control. I can't find any information that shows me how and no reporting from Western news media.
