I watch a lot of fishing channels on this platform and others. I have to say yours has some of the best overall content and production quality. I live on the west coast of Florida and our fishery is similarly diverse. It's always fun to go out and catch your target species but there's something special about not knowing what's at the end of the line until you get it up. Great job on getting that little Jewish out of the rocks. I've had some good sandwiches off of them back in the day!

This looked like so much fun 😅 As someone born and raised in MN, ice fishing, in sub zero weather. Watching you and people like The Sinker Guy and The Cambodian Angler are really making me want to take a trip down south. I also have made a dropper(pompano) board for rigs for walleye and crappie. Also when I transition careers I plan on buying a house near the Atlantic or gulf in Florida. Gunna need a bigger kayak 😁

Imfo, for Jason Thomas. I moved to Sebastian,4 years ago. The fishing here is terrible. Except for the inlet, the inside in the IRL,is the worst. I live on the Sebastian river,and only catch mostly catfish, and snook at night i came from the west coast in Steinhatchee river. The fishing there was terrific one can limit out in 30 minutes,on the flats outside the river. Good luck.

To me, Yellowfin Tuna is the only fish in the ocean that is arguably better to eat than Pompano. Pompano are terrific to eat and fun to catch too.
@FishAholicTV Жыл бұрын
My favorite white flaky fish to date has to be Trippletail, Pompano, and then believe it or not Snook. Out of the Tuna species and I’ve had fresh bluefin, yellowfin, and bigeye right after it’s caught sometimes the flesh is still twitching lol. I prefer the fatty bluefin because at times it can be so tender. Anyway its all good stuff that I prefer over a piece of fish from a supermarket and who knows how old it is. Anyway, thanks Charlie for watching and Tight Lines!!!

Love your channel. Question. I have an opportunity to surfcast in Mexico. Its a Bay so the surf is low to moderate. What size reel would be best? For Jacks, snapper.....strong saltwater fish under 50 lbs... I want to keep it as light as possible. Would a 5000 size spinning reel be adequate? Thanks!

Yeah I would say a 5000 to 6000 size reel would really be what you want.

Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit kzbin.infoUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.
