At 5:10, years ago, from the bank, I caught a snag and brought in the same thing WITH YELLOW STRING! Still had the Walmart sticker on it. WOW.

You can put the crank handle on the other side of the reel. That way you won't have to change hands on every cast. Just a thought.
@paling18723 жыл бұрын
Yeah, alot of people use that weird way of casting, honestly just inefficient and shit, what's the point of doing that when you can change the handle on spinning reels?

I just recently watched a video on a Channel called "ThatBoatGuy" who had a tip when buying a new boat. Always change and check the old fuel lines that come with the boat. There is a plastic liner in the fuel lines that sometimes collapse, and become into a paste like substance over time. Which could be happening to your current boat. I'd change those ASAP if you haven't already. And when you do change them and you're finding nothing of the sort. At least you have peace of mind of knowing when they've been changed. tight lines

My guess would be a) clogged inline fuel filter (pretty cheap and easy fix). b) Clogged water separator (also cheap and easy). c) Fuel pump is going out. I'm not sure if those Suzukies use an electronic pump or a diaphragm pump, but the diaphragm pumps are pretty cheap, but the labor can be costly to put them in. In any case, I think those motors still have a ton of life and (IMHO) buying a new one just because of fuel starvation would be a waste of a good motor.
@matthewkaski26073 жыл бұрын
I prefer mud minnows anyways. They are much more resilient and generally you dont need an aerator or anything. I've always struggled to keep more than a half dozen or dozen of finger mullet alive in the live well.
@FishAholicTV3 жыл бұрын
yeah the mud minnows can suck air it looks like to get oxygen. But usually periodically throughout the outing I'll just pour in some fresh sea water to keep em lively.
@bitefishing3 жыл бұрын
Hey Rich, I was thinking...you were nice enough to reply to me about continuing to kayak, but there is actually a way to get best of both worlds. The boat looks large enough that you may be able to mothership your yak out to some intense fishing you may not be able to otherwise. You would want to have someone with to pilot the boat for you while you kayak, but it could be fun.
@damnitman19693 жыл бұрын
Yep the low country is a perfect place for all that.

Not that it couldn't be a million other things. but if you sit at idle for a long time your injectors can get a decent amount of carbon build-up. Most engines like to be run hard. Just a thought, but if it starts sputtering and she sounds fuel-starved, try either going for a high-speed run or - if you must - neutral throttle up to try and burn the carbon out.
