Great comparison! I just got the F-Pulse and so far have not had much chance to use it, so this is a welcome review to see. Thank you for taking the time to give us some real-world demo of it's sensitivity. Seems like a great pinpointer, I look forward to using it as weather permits.
@bodie70204 жыл бұрын
i have the tek-point pinpointer, it is the exact same pinpointer as the f-pulse but I like the forest-green color of the tek-point as opposed to the red f-pulse, however the brighter color would make it harder to lose if you happen to forget where you set it down. Great video. Pulse induction is definitely the wave of the future when it comes to pin-pointers.

If you detune the pinpointer, after powering it up, you would be losing some depth. While it's touching the ground, power it up, then, you won't have to detune it. It will be ground ballanced at the initial startup.

Thank you for your hard work on this video. To help remove any confusion on battery life... Battery Life (corrected): > Alkaline Up to 25 Hours use (non-rechargable) > NiMH (Nickle Metal Hydride) Rechargable Up to 15 Hours use between charges > Lithium Up to 50 Hours use (non-rechargable) (These are non-rechargeable AA Lithium and not rechargeable Lithium-Ion)

These are not real world numbers- likely half the time. You will never get 50 hours of detection- sorry. Not happening.

Just got mine today. Found what I had lost quickly...and several other things! Works great. Was careful to prep it by turning it on while touching the ground. This is important. Funny- I am a total newb. It was alerting like crazy- realized, I was holding my metal digger next to it (same hand!) Easy fix.

How about adding a test with the new pro-find 35 and see how it compares to the tests. My experience with the pro-find 35 is about 3.5 " on max power. It also has two different tones one for ferrous and one for non-ferrous, That makes recover a lot easier not digging as much junk. Great video keep up the good work.

Thanks for the review. By "detuning" are you lowering the sensitivity? If so, in heavily mineralized soil the advantage might be lost. Just curious. I do like Fisher products.
@TheSilverFiend6 жыл бұрын
yes, you detune any type of detector you are reducing its sensitivity. If I had more heavily mineralized soil I could know for sure, but I think this pinpointer would come out with more depth than others I tested. Thanks for watching!

Why is depth an important consideration for a pinpointer? What is the point of the regular detector?
@firebellyK5 жыл бұрын
Looks identical to the Tek-point....even the instructions that include the difference in water depth. I have the Tek-Point and love it. I also have the Garrett Carrot and have switched almost exclusively to the Tek-Point. I’m wondering if they sold their rights to Fisher?

I am new to this stuff but I heard you have to start the F-Pulse when it is touching the dirt so the baselins is less sensitive this way or something. In other words, do not turn it on in the air like you would the carrot.

I was under the impression, maybe false impression, that since this device is a pulse machine, you wouldn't need to tune it, even in mineralized soils... Compared to the VLF machines. Also, do you know if this is any different than the Technetics Tek-Point?
@TheSilverFiend6 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I felt the same way but it clearly responded to my soil in my garden. Maybe it has tiny iron bits in it that don't get noticed by other detectors? I'm not 100% sure. Too many toys to test!
@Mr.Technical776 жыл бұрын
It is exactly the same as the Tek-Point. It's only a brand and color preference. The engineer behind this pinpointer hints that in the near future these pinpointers will interact with new machines wirelessly and have some disc adoption ability. As many who follow First Texas knows, they've been working with a new engineer, Andre Tartar on PI disc ability, and Carl had actually developed wireless plans for the Bullseye TRX and a hybrid Pulse/VLF for Whites before leaving for First Texas. This may have something to do with how it behaves now, a bit different than our understanding of PI.

Pulse still needs to be GB'ed in mineralized soil, even then, it's not totally immune to it's affects all the time.

I have Garrett carrots and pro pointer. The fisher is just as easy and far more powerful. Crazy good on gold. And pressing ther button while touching ther ground, ground balances the pin pointer. On my gold ring the f pulse hit my ring 2. 5 inches further. That's huge. Try to hit a small gold ring. You'll see the difference. Heck don't get one and leave the gold for me. Lol

Why did not you go up to level 3? Garret carrot
@getsmart25945 жыл бұрын
great question, and also he didnt show any of them at contact point and how big of a buffer of the highest pitch at contact point. say it goes into high pitch at 1 inch then your looking with in 2 inches perimeter of every where the wand is within 2 inches. ( that wouldnt be a good pin pointer ). Garret carrot should have been shown beyond level 2.
@1OFGODSOWN5 жыл бұрын
Ricardo Ibarra Tek-Point blows it away and has ninelevels plus you can change the frequency to several different levels so that it does not interfere with your detector.
@thatoneguywhohax54306 жыл бұрын
Ok good
@getsmart25945 жыл бұрын
how do you go thru all the effort to leave the coin exposed. Also you never show the detectors with full contact. If you dont than you could be looking in a circumference of your first detection measured, or outer most point and that is useless. You have to show first point of pick up and closest point and how big that is. JSYK

@Mr.Technical776 жыл бұрын
Yeah, no. That's just blind brand loyalty at its finest. After this, I can't even call it blind. You've just seen that's clearly not the case and chose to ignore it and launch a less is more campaign. A pinpointer literally does nothing else but pinpoint. The more range you have on that ability the better off you are. I felt the Carrot was overrated before next to pinpointers like the Gold Digger Land or Sea, Bullseye TRX and some others, but here again it's clearly not measuring up.

Total bull. I have the minelab pro find 35. And I can't run it on full whack due to the massive range it has. Almost 6 inches . This guy didn't ground balance the pointers, which helps greatly with the range . My probe also distinguishes between iron and non ferrous metals. Far superior than anything else out there.
@MrAges-yi2fc6 жыл бұрын
Your video is not objective enough. We can't see if sensitivity levels were adjusted out of frame and we can't see if in fact if pin-pointers were turned off out of frame. I'm not personally questioning your integrity just merely pointing out observations. Based upon what I see here I can not trust the end result. So this video doesn't help me as far as comparisons go. Until persuaded otherwise I'm not ready to switch from the Pin-pointer I presently carry.
