U.S. AquaSmart models don't allow turning off High Efficiency on the Regular cycle. Regular is hard-coded for HE mode.

It’s just the same with rinses on the new machines. Us ones do spray rinse as default but, Australian ones do deep rinse as default.

@@Stuck_upstairs Good question. It's usually the detergent that causes the water to become bubbly when it is recirculated onto the clothes. As for the Eco-Active name, it is called that because of how it dissolves/mixes the soap thoroughly in the water, which "activates" it so that it can clean better. It's also called Eco-Active because of its low water usage.

Does this have a lid lock? My grandma had a fisher and paykel with agitator for like 2yrs and grandpa made a device to stick in the lid lock so I can watch it lol. Then it took a shit and they had to get a lg top loader which isn’t great but not horrible either does a good job for their light soil cloths

Yeah, this does indeed have a lid lock. All I did to disable it was take it apart and get rid of the flap, because the flap will go up when the lid is open and block the the piston from locking the lid. By removing it, the piston is free to move with the lid open since the flap won’t be there to block it.

Do all aquasmart machines make that clunking sound during agitation parts of the cycle? It does manage to turnover but with that clunking it sounds like it may be struggling

I don’t think all of them do. The thing with this one is that when I screwed the stator wheel all the way in, for some reason, it would rub against the actual stator. The only solution I could find to the problem was to leave it unscrewed just a little bit to allow the wheel to move freely, but that might be the reason it clunks during the wash cycle.

@@grnappliance7297 You mean the rotor (motor part with magnets that turns) rubs on the stator (stationary motor part with coils)? It's not a good idea to leave the stator loose. Perhaps place a spacer washer of appropriate thickness at end of the shaft ... maybe a sturdy fiber or plastic washer instead of metal to avoid a magnetic problem.

@@DADoESofTX Ahh, I didn’t know the wheel was called the rotor. I’ve always just called it the stator wheel. That’s good to know then. It was weird how when I screwed it in all the way, it would rub up against the stator. I wonder if maybe the stator or rotor was replaced at some point during it’s life, and one or the other was a different size. Whatever the case, it would only turn if I left the rotor unscrewed just a little bit. I also don’t have any plastic washers on me, so yeah.

I couldn't tell you exactly. The machine itself has a 5-star water rating, which is excellent for a top loader.
