Wow at 60 years of age I learned there are actual tools for knurled nuts that I have played with for most of my life ( My family are all electricians or in the electrical field) Thanks again for another great video!

In the early 70's I worked for the company in Mountail View Caliifornia that invented and produced the viewer you have. it was initially named a "The Action Viewer" and if I remember correctly they had films in subjects such as Sports, Animals and other subjects. It was aimed primarily at kids and when sales never really took off, Fisher Price bought the idea and we produced them for a few years. As I remember it was quite successful and I used to have some of the old Action Viewer film cartridges, and they're probable in a box somewhere in the house. Thanks for showing it, it brings back old memories.

Knurled nut driver - who knew? I sure didn't. The movie viewer is pretty neat. Remember the 'View Masters' ? We had those when I was a kid.

Fisher price brought that out after I was too old to be playing with one and not yet having a kid to play with them for another 10 years. We had the View Master 3D toys and later I found the Stereopticons at antique stores. Still have one with some pictures. Tools for professionals are very interesting. I had never seen or heard of the knurled nut driver until you showed this one. Pretty cool. Something I could have used a few times at least. Lots of pull chain switches in ceiling lights were held on with a knurled nut. I like the strobe light demo too. Great show today. Thanks for sharing some of your collection John.

My oldest child was 2 in 1973, and we got him Fischer Price toys, but I do not remember ever seeing the little movie viewer. Looks like the toy designers got the idea from the early 4 and 8 track music tapes, which were all the rage then. A fun trip in Mr. Scout Crafter's way back machine, thanks John!

I have to say i come across knurled nuts quite often and usually im pretty good with my hands getting them tight, but its getting harder i never knew they made such a tool what a fantastic idea. This is truly why i love the channel always something more to learn it truly is an educational channel. True gold John.

We got married in 1973. We didn't have kids for a couple of years, so we never had a movie viewer like you showed. But it was too cool. Funny enough, my son (48) came over the other day and sat and looked at all of the ViewMaster slides that we have from when I was a kid. He loved them. In fact, I still have the wall projector from ViewMaster we had when I was a kid. My grandson loves it.

Good video with the knurled nut driver. A spray lubricant I like to use is motorcycle cable lubricant. It has a light lubricant with a solvent that allows the oil to penetrate, and the solvent evaporates.

When I was watching the Fisher Price Movie Viewer, I had a thought pop into my head: it would be pretty neat to couple the movie viewer with a similar type of record like the one you showed in the earlier video. Instead of reading the book, it could have the dialogue of the movie. Great video as always!

Here's a challenge any Scout Crafter fan can participate in... watching and liking all the videos (over 1.2K of them) starting with the oldest. I had one of those movie cameras when I was a kid. It must have been a garage sale toy or hand me down because it was made before I was born. We had a bunch of the films and I remember the Lonesome Ghosts and the Cookie Monster one. I was always interested in how things worked. I distinctly remember breaking one of those cartridges open with a hammer down the basement and pulling out the film.

I have an idea for an episode. You could do an episode on restoring vintage power tools. I am riding out hurricane Milton in Brandon Fl. I saw pile after pile of electric saws, drills, nail guns, etc... thrown in trash piles from hurricane Helene. The episode could include safety info on the concerns of fixing power tools.

I pray for your safety my friend- the 24 hours before a hurricane is 100% stress!!!

Nice to see the strobescope testing the drill press. That movie viewer must have been to compete with the View - Master which I did not know was as old as it was.

Great video 👍 That Fisher Price viewer was great to see. As a kid I had the View Master that you insert these disc which would show these 3-D photographs that you would watch of different characters like Snoopy or Mickey Mouse and stuff like that, Great memories👍. Great job on the clean up of the 🪛 Millers Falls #63 and the knurled nut driver. That Millers Falls screwdriver ratcheting mechanism sounds fantastic thanks to that 50/50 of yours . You should patent that stuff. 😆👍👍👍. I don’t think I seen one of those knurled nut driver before , but what a gem to have around in the shop. It reminds me of the Stanley Hex -A-Matic nut driver. I think Klein tools made one to. Again really cool to see that tool. That stroboscope was pretty right on with the RPMs of your drill press. I will have to see about getting one of those. Great shot of Old Glory 🇺🇸 flying in the breeze. Well again great video and can’t wait to see what you do on Friday. Have a great evening. 😃👍👍

Great Show. I had the "Give a Show" projector, it used a card with multiple film frames like a 35mm slide projector. It's too bad that the Technicolor film on these has degraded, actual color would have been much better.

That Millers Falls screwdriver seems a little odd to me. Just one size and shape? Why would a person buy one of those in the old days when you could get a multi bit retching screw driver? It's pretty and i would collect one in a minute but i can't imagine a tradesman buying an array of those to match his screws, it would have been expensive.
