This is a great pod cast to remind us how scammers whose sole job and obsessive focused expertise is to scam people out of money. I have been scammed one time by a business for a service that was free at first and was worthless since they sent one document in the first month and nothing after that. I could not stop the service and they were sending me very intimating payment due now letters and so on. However, I had saved all the memos and letters I sent which I took snippets of since it was on their website. I could not write an email directly which makes it very hard to prove you ever wrote to them later since it is on their site, and you do not have access to it. So key lesson for anyone is to take which is a software on most computers you can look up to copy something your screen. They finally capitulated on the required payments after numerous phone calls wasting lots of my time, but I also wrote to the Better Business Bureau. When I looked them up, they had several dozen complaints on the BBB web site. This is just one example. And I am over 60 so I will keep and eye out for these scams. Normally I see or listen to podcasts and such from Fisher Investments discussing the markets and such so this is a different perspective to save our hard-earned money.
