My favorite gourami are croaking gourami. I currently have hundreds of varying ages because my dominant male put all his croaking stats in charisma. Despite my requests for him to chill, his croaking stops for no one.

QOTW: Liquorice Gouramis, they're so beautiful and you really don't get to see them very often. (My FFT Hoodie turned up recently and it's already my favourite hoodie I own. The fabric is so soft but also feels durable, plus the print on it isn't the kind that starts peeling off after a few washes. 10/10 gunna grab another design at some point.)

I used to raise Dwarf Gouramis. I thought they had beautiful coloring. It was the best time. I'm sorry you lost so many wonderful things. I moved one time, the person I was staying with let me put my overflow things in his storage unit. He didn't tell me he was behind in payments, so when he told the people my belongings were in the unit, they went in and took all my stuff and left his. Never got over that. Loss can be hard but some how we can move forward. Today I was the first here, I really enjoy all that you share.

Bruh nahhhh if you leave a perfectly good tank outside amongst other garbage you bet your biscuit I'm nabbing that thing 😂 I actually once got a really nice 30 gallon that was left outside a neighbours house, since they lived only a few doors down I did knock and they told me I was free to take it, it had a crack in the bottom which is why they tossed it but it made a very nice mouse enclosure!

For piranha, they and other similar fish like silver dollars and pacus were once in Family Characidae with tetra before being moved to their own Family Serrasalmidae. As for gourami, the one that left an impression to me is giant gourami (Osphronemus goramy) I was in very large setting (the giant educational one)

I was robbed a few times in Orlando… they kicked a hole in my closet wall from an empty apartment next door & stole all my son’s game systems/games, our electronics, his laptop that he was awarded for being valedictorian & getting a college scholarship, my phone, his college books even… our bicycles, TV- EVERYTHING 😪💔 the police wouldn’t do anything they said how do we know you didn’t trade it for crack? Ummm… 😪💔 broke my heart so bad for my son… he hated the world after that… I was very angry for him & I realized things can be stolen because ours were stolen so many times… so I resigned myself to having nothing & just making sure we each had a decent phone (I could barely afford to live & buy food as a single mom) the world is a cruel place… I am just thankful my son is alive & me too because I was attacked, strangled, etc in Orlando… being poor the police treat you very badly because they can. Your insurance will fix you up- just remember things are meaningless- it’s people that truly matter

So late but im catching up, for the algorithm! QOTW: Easily Pearl Guarami, these guys get slept on. I just love their coloration, that sparkly circular gradient is so fine and that beautiful black stripe, with that nice pop of orange near the pectoral fin/gills. Cant beat them imo.

House fires suck big time! Friends of mine had it in their attic, fire came from the neighbours. They kept almost all of their home crafted cosplays up there. She's a seamstress and there was some amazing stuff in there. And quite a lot of memories considering they have been cosplaying like 20 years or more. Chocolate gourami's are definitly a species I want to keep in the future. I don't know if they are included (they are labyrinthfish) but I also do love dwarf snakeheads like channa bleheri. But at the moment the only gourami I keep is a female three spot gourami that's uncharacteristically sweet for her species.
