Wild TROUT Fishing with Spinners

I went wild trout fishing with spinners! I caught wild rainbow trout and wild brown trout from the creek with Fish Hawk spinners. The creek was clear and had a nice flow. It was a beautiful day for trout fishing!

Thanks for the great video! A lot of folks think fly rod when they hear "trout fishing". Been chasing trout for 40 years, with ultralight, in Michigan rivers. I find that, in smaller rivers, an ultralight spun rod gives more accuracy on spot casts and catch a lot fewer tree bass! Here's hoping some of your readers will pick up this style, and have more fun out there! Happy fishin'!

I have question I got some trout magnet to use do u use thin braided line and what kind line to use as like a leader I got some of those little ball swivels like u use about weight do u use of both lines I’m new to these nobody mention what weight line they use kinda curious so I can order some try these out

I use 6 lb test fluorocarbon for just about everything. Unless I’m fishing for largemouth or bigger fish then I’ll use 10-12 lb test

Great question Justin. Been fishing ultralight on trout for 40 years. It's risky for breakoffs on snags, but the lighter the line, the more hits you'll get. The heavier the line, the quicker the trout will see the line. It's OK to go from heavier line to the lighter tip though. Proper drag setting is key, on the lighter line. Good luck to ya. @@tombeyer375 oh yea absolutely I got some 6 pound braid with some 6 pound fluorocarbon line I’ll try that I also got some 8 pound braid as well just to try out see what works I’ve fished for trout before done good I’ve never paid attention to like the rod action stuff like that I’m thinking about getting a light or ultralight I have a medium now I’m not sure how it would cast small trout magnets stuff like that

I started heavily using spinners about a week ago… I’d say stay stay away from jagged rocks and just make sure you’re always reeling at constant pace as soon as it gets in the water!

​@stothal Try mixing white zinfandel wine, a little minced garlic, lemon juice and a tiny bit of Worcestershire sauce together. Put mixture in a cast iron skillet. Then put beheaded and gutted trout in mix and cover with tin foil. Bring to a boil and flip trout about half way. Skin slides right off and rib cage will slide out from the middle, leaving you a tender chunk of fish! Got free recipe card from a grocery store meat counter about 40 years ago! Happy munching!!

I do like your videos but, on so many occasions I see more of your wrists and the reel that any of the fishing! You need to reconsider your video set up. Either try a tripod mounted set up or move the camera upstairs onto your head. Having it on your chest blocks out way too much of the action. Otherwise, good stuff.

I don't know but this is sus because how can you just show up to a creek even if it is a known fishing location and get 4 hits and reel in 4 fish. How long is this taking you how many casts are you performing before you actually get a fish on line. This just seems to be over rated because you have someone like me who is new to the game I'm 32 years old and your basically telling me through these videos that every time I make a cast I will get a fish on line. I have made more than a dozen casts since going out a couple times had gotten 1 on line and 2 bites. There is no way your going to honey wholes with a fish every 10 seconds. A little bit more descriptionon how many fish in a day with how often or something instead of leading people on it makes no sense a lot of youtubers do it. Don't mean to rant but it's getting snowing seeing all these videos getting fish on line when that is not reality. Please be more descriptive and stop being leading your viideos
